Title: Make a template before installing in concrete.
Review: Great robust quality I would knock off a mark for the ball bearing ground anchor design but hopefully they’d hold up to a theft scenarioIf you are installing in typical concrete with typical stones embedded please make yourself a template of say 12mm plywood 1st. you can then use this to guide the drill so it doesn’t jump around as it tries to miss these stones, I am a carpenter of many years and have drilled thousands of holes but today that template idea saved my bacon because my concrete just didn’t play ball… I just took a square piece of ply (square on 2 sides) similar size to anchor, offered up the anchor lush with these two sides and marked the centre of the holes and drilled with a wood bit the four holes (the same size as my masonry pilot bit 6mm) then using the square sides to position the template holding firmly drilled the 1st hole, then put an allen key, a bolt or something of the same size through the hole pegging the template in place, holding firmly drill another hole, peg again with something, you could even plug it with a small wall plug and screw for further firmness but you’ll have to drill it out the plug later, drill the rest of the holes with the pilot bit…if you mess up any of the holes when you offer up the anchor you can rectify because you have up to 16mm hole size to do yet, if you do need to realign you can actually redo the template again anywhere on your wooden plank no need to worry about square sides…but this time that forth hole that’s a dogs dinner now needs to be drilled larger maybe 10mm or 12mm, peg the other three holes and try and use that now larger drill and larger template hole to coax over and redrill your misaligned hole basically absorbing your mistake with a larger drillbit… If the others are good you can crack on and progress up the drill sizes as quick as you wish to the 16mm without the template or you can continue to pre drill the temp as you move up sizes. I’d imagine brickwork or cheap concrete won’t need all this fuss.Anyway that’s what I did, and I wouldn’t have managed without a piece of ply ( and a bit of masking tape for marking)

Consigliatissimo!
