Title: Facom…mmmmmm nice
Review: Very nice tool with an unusual design. Facom spanners are now manufactured in Taiwan, but don’t let that put you off…they are still very good quality and work well. I like them a lot.

Title: Spanner ok but there are better ergonomically
Review: 12pt combination spanner that works ok, is robust and close fitting. My only gripe is there are other brands that are ergonomically superior for conti ued use and for the price that are equally robust and are precision tools -some made in UK and some made elsewhere

Title: Decent quality for the price
Review: I am an Amateur car enthusiast, competent doing the odd job. This tool is a perfect addition to the tool box. Sturdy, good value for money and useful tool. I use it infrequently, so I can’t comment on how it would stand up to everyday use, but can see of no reason why it wouldn’t perform well.

Title: Facom-great quality.
Review: This is a nice little spanner. Being Facom it is quality. I did buy a cheap 5.5mm spanner before off of flea bay but it was rubbish. Bad quality and kept slipping off the bolt so it shows that you get what you pay for. If you are looking to change a cabin filter on a fiat 500, this is the spanner you want. 😉

Review: Bought these to fill up my Craftsman V series metric wrench (Spanner) set which is used in my tool bag. Facom designed Craftsman V series wrenches. (Spanners) Facom Also has designs for MAC and Proto. But with these they are a fraction of the price. These Facom 440 Wrenches (Spanners) are the same thing as the V series. A caveat Stanley Black and Decker does own all the said companies. Therefore you have a degree of products over lapping. The major difference between Craftsman V series and Facom 440 is finishing. Facom 440 has a satin finish, while Craftsman V series has a highly polished chrome finish. The only gripe I had with the V series of wrenches (Spanners) is the only go up to 19mm and skip 9mm. So I purchased Facom 440 9mm, 20mm, 21mm and 22mm to complete the set. Working at a water treatment plant you do need the larger sizes. These wrenches (Spanners) don’t replace heavier duty Proto or Wright wrenches for heavy duty applications, but rather supplement them for harder to reach spaces. They are smaller wrenches. (Spanners) They are great for tight corners and cramped spaces. I do like the style of the beam they are surprisingly comfortable. I like the way the open end is angled. I do like how the box end is profiled in such a way that it emulates a very shallow socket and you get that 15 degree offset at the same time. These Wrenches (Spanners) are also share similarities to MAC Precision Torque. The biggest difference between MAC, Craftsman V and The 440’s are, MAC Precision Torque has a longer beam and for the open end has an ASD feature which is standard for Mac and Proto Wrenches. (Spanners) I would say, the only gripe I have would be warranty with the 440’s. That probably is a game changer for us whom are North American customers. To my knowledge I don’t know of any US distributor that can warranty these wrenches. But if you like quality, want something ergonomical and you are pragmatic and take care of your tools these wrenches might be up your alley especially if you like MAC, Proto and Facom. These wrenches (spanners) are Mac and Proto quality.
