Title: Compact in size, big in performance
Review: iDPRT MT610 Portable Thermal Printer for TravelIf you need a printer while you are on the go, this is certainly a worthy candidate. When this arrived I was amazed by how small and compact the printer was, it measures 27 x 5.5 x 4.5cm (11.5 x 2.2 x 1.8 inches) so will not take up much room in a travel bag.The printer itself is made from matt black plastic, it has 4 soft pads on the base to keep it in place whilst printing. The cover is hinged one end, just unclip and lift to insert the paper for printing. You do need special thermal paper for this as the printer does not use ink. In the box you will find 10 sheets of A4 size thermal paper to get you started. Thermal paper is more expensive than traditional printer paper, but the plus side is that there is no additional expense of buying ink, or print heads, which can become quite costly.A good feature of this printer is that it houses a battery, so no power source is required, making it great for use when away from home. It is claimed there is enough battery power to print up to 360 sheets of paper, or 4 hours continuous use. This can be connected to a computer or laptop by using the supplied USB cable, or connect to a phone via bluetooth. Just download the appropriate app or software via the web link or QR code in the user guide.I found this very easy to use once I had the software installed on my computer. Just select the correct printer to use in your device settings and it’s ready to go. This will print at up to 300DPI, which will take between 4-6 seconds, which is really quite speedy for a device like this. The normal print setting is set at 203DPI which is still an acceptable print quality.Overall I am very pleased with this little printer. Title: Works well for us
Review: I’d never really thought of getting a portable printer before, nor a thermal one for that matter, but I have to say how much I’m enjoying using it!I’m a self-confessed technophobe, so I asked my hubby to set it up for me but it was simple and nothing I couldn’t have done myself. You basically download the app using a QR code, find the printer via Bluetooth on your phone, and then you’re good to go. The printer is supplied with 10 sheets of thermal paper to get you started but these obviously won’t last too long so it may be an idea to order some extra.I am super impressed how quickly it prints out compared to my inkjet printer I use for my PC. The only slight downside for me is it is only black and white but for what I’ll be using it for on my phone and laptop, this shouldn’t be an issue.I got mine in white and think it looks good. It’s actually small enough to pop in my bag so I can take it out with me for printing on the go, which is a pretty cool idea.So far, I’m really enjoying this printer and providing I don’t need something printed out in colour, I find I’m using this one first. It’s all good here and I’m happy with this product. I give it 4/5, only because I wish it was compatible with PCs also.

Review: I didn’t even know these kinds of printers existed, but after playing with this one I’m honestly genuinely impressed.It feels reassuringly sturdy in the hand and looks vaguely like a very square hair straightener. There’s only a single on/off button and a catch on one end to open it up.Set up on my phone was easy, just scan a QR code on a label on top of the printer which takes you to an app. Download, open it and (assuming you’ve switched on the printer) it should pop up on a list on your phone. Press the connect button and away you go. The app is pretty intuitive and you can find documents through it to print. The downside is that I couldn’t find any way to set this up as a default printer on my phone, and the only way to print was through the app. I couldn’t get it to connect to my steam deck, but I think that’s just down to the extra steps that are always needed when doing anything with linux and not the printer itself.You get 10 sheets of thermal paper with it but the box has a square profile so the paper has been folded around the printer, leaving it very creased. The printer still had no trouble printing on it though and I was amazed at how quickly it fed through and pushed out the print. It was really clear and I didn’t even have it set on the darkest print quality.Overall very impressed and this will be a good gadget to keep handy.

Title: Truly portable printer with decent quality printing
Review: Up until now, I’ve never really been a particular fan of thermal printers, as I didn’t consider the quality of the prints to be as good as ink printers. This may have been a misconception on my part, though, as I’ve never owned a thermal printer before, other than a label printer I have.As it turns out, the print quality with this one is better than my inkjet printer. It does, obviously, have the disadvantage of not being able to print in colour, but the definition of the print is excellent.As far as portability is concerned, this is a definite winner. I was under the impression it would need to be plugged into the mains, so didn’t think it would be a truly portable device, but it turns out it doesn’t. It contains a rechargeable battery, so could even be used at the top of a mountain, as pictured in the listing – though quite why I would ever have the desire to print while mountain climbing, I have no idea. It is very useful for things like printing tickets while travelling, though, or taking to conferences.Obviously, being inkless, it does require thermal paper, rather than standard paper, and comes with a few sheets of this to get you started. Printing from your PC, or from your phone via the app, is a very simple task that takes very little set up.

Review: I bought this hoping it could help my wife in her office, and I wish it could be the solution to her problems. Her main issue is that you can only print one sheet at a time and need to feed each page in place very specifically, and that eats up time. She needs to print multiple pages at a time and would take longer than it’s worth.Aside from that the only negative for me is nothing to do do with the machine itself. Paper for thermal printers is not cheap.The printer comes with several semi-folded sheets for you to get started, which is nice. But I don’t know that I would be ok spending $20 on 200-500 sheets of paper.Now on to it’s plethora of positives.I love how light and compact this is. I can keep it in my laptop bag and take it anywhere I need and not be put out by the weight. Although it can only print in black and white it does it well, without the running of ink if it gets wet. The test page pictured, shows how well it can pade the black and eight but not sure how well it deals with grey yet.It’s really helpful to be able to pull out of the bag turn on, open an app on my phone and print a page or two of whatever I might need. A waiver or permission slip for kids school, etc. I will keep using this as needed and see how long this will fit my simple and small needs. It’s very nice to not have to worry about ink or toner.

Review: Color me impressed! I’m sure you could tell from the headline…This mobile thermal printer from iDPRT is amazing! It is lightweight, compact, quiet, efficient, quick and above all else – a game changer.Width-wise this is smaller than the keyboard on my 14″ laptop – and overall weight is about equivalent to my cellphone.The setup is super easy – scan a QR code, download the app, accept a few permissions and it instantly pairs and you’re off to the races! Printing happens quickly – the picture of my cat – heavy in darker monochromatic tones took about 5 seconds to print. My tinkering with loading the paper properly took longer than the actual print.The detail on that print is not going to win any awards but I’ll tell you what, it sure knocks my socks off any day of the week – and it blows my mind that this is all so quick and without ink! No more ink cartridges to deal with, no more loud and obnoxious ink printer sounds, no more paper jams….nope – just blis and it’s all because of this mobile thermal printer from iDPRT.My next attempt will be with adhesive postal labels – if it can conquer that then there’s no turning back!5 (plus) stars.

Review: I am sick sick sick of the racket of traditional inkjet printers and how ink costs more than literal gold. Most of the printing I do is just for notes and other unimportant stuff I need while working at home, or to sign and scan documents, nothing that I ever really need long term. This is why thermal is perfect for my needs. I know that what I print likely won’t last forever, but I don’t need it to. But now, I can easily print my writing or notes out for corrections or whatever and have it lickety-split. I had a bit of a tougher time finding the software on the website to download for PC since my printing mostly isn’t done by Bluetooth (although this feature works perfectly, and the printer is small and portable enough to bring along and print wherever if you needed to), but the company got back to me and helped me find it by searching. It’s just what I need, I’m very pleased with this.
