Review: I have a smart home system through a local heating & air company. The equipment they installed and the website used to control it is “alarm.com”. I wish I’d known their tricks before purchasing their system as, for one, they make it VERY difficult for you to find your own add-ons like outlets and sensors. I have tried to find they products they sell to the customers (like the intertek smart plug), but Intertek sells only to the “dealers” so the consumer is forced to purchase through the dealer middleman at a tremendous markup. We’re talking really big markup. Huge.I have searched and searched for the add-ons I want. While there are several brands of z-wave products available, many just won’t pair with the alarm.com system. Don’t know the science behind it but can assure you they just don’t pair. This Evalogik z-wave smart plug paired with my alarm.com system on the first try! No fuss. It was quick, easy, and it works! Super happy to have found this! Will buy more Evalogik products.

Review: Does just what it’s supposed to do. I’m currently using to switch my Christmas tree lights on at sunset and off before bedtime, but I’m sure it will find other uses throughout the year.I had no problem installing it on my 2GIG GC2 alarm panel. I just put the panel into discovery mode and plugged in the switch. It is compatible with/controllable through my Alarm.com account. (Disclosure: I work for a subsidiary of Alarm.com.)The switch was packaged nicely, secure, but without excessive packaging. The included instructions are simple and clear.I’d give this product 5 stars, except that I no longer trust 5-star reviews on Amazon.

Review: I’m using this Z-Wave outlet switch in a Smartthings system. Everything works perfectly and it was easy to install. I’ve got this on a garage outlet I use to charge an ebike battery. Since the battery charger is cheap, I don’t trust it not to overcharge to battery once the charging is complete so I use the Smartthings panel to tell the outlet to turn off x number of hours after I start the charge. I prefer Z-Wave devices like this as opposed to Wi-Fi. For me they are much more reliable and easier to install into my system. I also don’t like having to have separate apps for each brand device. With Z-Wave, my Smartthings app controls everything and I can easily access my devices from Google Home as well.

Review: Update – May 6 2023.EVA Logik saw my review and reached out with impeccable support and care for their product to ensure they are working correctly. I’m impressed with such support and resolve and wouldn’t hesitate to buy more of these units with such customer care response and assurance. A good seller.I’ve purchased over 8 of these and this one is the only one giving me an issue. Every so often, it cuts out — won’t respond to commands and just freezes up until it’s unplugged and plugged back in again. I also have over 70 other zwave units in my house and this one is the only one exhibiting such behavior. Of course, it’s past the 30 day return mark. I can’t find any references to a firmware upgrade or re-install so perhaps the mfg will see this and respond. Other than that, it’s a good unit for the money and I also have 11 of their zw39 dimmers — they work well.

Review: The lamp module works fine. however, I needed to reset the unit to factory, and it wasn’t able to do so, following the directions. Unsure if the unit was defective or the directions were wrong. It was under the return window, so I exchanged it. Adding it to the system was easy enough, it operates just fine. It is nice that it has a always on plug as well, so you do not lose that outlet. the plugs go in the side, so the module can be more easily used behind furniture. I hesitate to buy again, as I am not confident the unit can be reset to factory to be used on another system.
