1. Submerge the filter in water for 3-5 minutes to activate the filter, shake gently to minimize air bubbles.

Review: These filters arrived in a very generic and unbranded cardboard box with the six filters placed into their own sealed plastic pouches inside that. There weren’t any instructions in the box with the filters, or printed onto the side, but the process is the same as any other water filter. I just immersed it in water for a few minutes, then popped it into my jug and filtered and discarded the first 3 batches of filtered water.I primarily run water filters to remove the residual chlorine from my tap water and any other benefits are a welcome win of course, but the chlorine and the water being a little harder than I’d like are the only two faults I have with my tap water.These filters appear to have no issues removing that chlorine smell and I haven’t noticed a difference in the quantity of scale building up on my various appliances that use the water from the filtered jug. This is coming from the Waterdrop cartridges which are easily my favourite all around filter when it comes to value and performance. It doesn’t hurt that the Waterdrop ones actually appear in the NSF certification website and supply certificates of compliance on their Amazon listings.Though I’d be willing to bet that a lot of these generic cartridges are made in the same place. However, if you’re after something that actually shows up on the NSF site search for the brand name, these BREOILUTLE filters aren’t it. I’ve used plenty of brands that didn’t list the certification or show up on the NSF website before, but some people won’t be comfortable with that, so I figured it was worth mentioning.It’s impossible to say if these are any better or worse than other generic brands or the official cartridges from Brita without proper scientific testing, but I haven’t noticed a difference in taste, smell or anything else to do with the water post-filtering. I’ve never been all that keen on the Brita ones after the first round of filters that came with my jug, and I’ve been happily using various generic brands for the last few years without a bother until I settled on the Waterdrop ones.Ultimately I have no real complaints, they’re around the same price as other generic cartridges and the first one has performed well so far. If I do happen to notice any issues with the other five filters or excessive scale build up on my coffee machine and kettle I’ll be sure to adjust the review.

Review: As a bottled water lover, the cost I was paying out each week on drinks had increased dramatically. My Son suggested I purchased a water filter jug which will save me money in the long run. Also my optimyst fire from Dimplex required filtered water to create the mist effect. So I decided to give it a go.After the initial purchase, I was blown away by the high cost of the branded replacement filters.This is where I am so glad that this item came up for review.A Large 6 pack of filters that are individually sealed for freshness.Fitted into my well known branded water filer jug beginning with a B with ease.The quality of the filtered water along with the taste was on a par with the branded version.Cost wise these are a third of the price cheaper than my previous ones at the time of writing.Would highly recommend 👌
