CHERRY – A company with tradition

As early as 1953, Walter L. Cherry began manufacturing the first microswitches in the basement of a restaurant in Illinois. 20 years later, the first keyboards were built – making CHERRY the oldest manufacturer of computer keyboards. In 1983, production of the MX switches began, which are now used billions of times in millions of keyboards around the world.

Title: Excellent keyboard for the money
Review: This is my first Cherry board, and I’m genuinely loving it so far.The keys are tactile and feel nice to type on, without being fatiguing. The lighting shines through the keycaps vividly and can be controlled with a few key shortcuts. The build quality feels a little cheap, but the keyboard overall is still and has no noticeable deck flex while typing

Title: great ergonomics and better when modded
Review: Great keyboard I’ve tried many gaming keyboards. The Ergonomics of this keyboard is the best I’ve tried and the keycaps being cherry profile abs plastic feel very good and they hold up after a long time no shine . (they last longer than even the gmk keycaps I’ve had) The keycaps profile being cherry are miles better than oem keycaps .I even took apart every switch with twizers to lube & film them (it took me ages it’s the only way to do this as they are soldered in) I also used a 2 part sillicone pour mix to pour into the base of the keyboard to give it some weight and silence it even more . It’s miles better now well worth doing.I like the easy windows lock key using fn so much quicker than other keyboards tooThe text font on the keycaps is very good too much better than other gaming keyboards

Title: Originally razer only, moved to cherry
Review: I kept having countless issues with Razer quality assurance problems and breaking within four months of use or less.I originally did have an issue with the Cherry keyboard, but a replacement fixed it. The issue I had with the “a” key started feeling very mushy after only about 2 months of use.I got a replacement, and ironically, the replacement had one easily repairable issue, and one of the keys on the new replacement keyboard was defective underneath, and it wouldn’t press down other than those issues. The keyboard has been perfectly fine. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the application that controls the RGB software is very limited, and I don’t think you can select individual keys to be different colors with the keyboard being animated at the same time. For some people, this might not matter anyway.

Title: More silent than most membrane keyboards.
Review: Really quiet. Switches feel great on the hands. Nice RGB selection, I like the WASD preset for gaming. Only downside is that the cable is quite thin and its not detachable which is a feature i’d like to see for product longevity. Albeit keyboard cables don’t exactly deal with much stress.Edit: still going strong months down the line. Must also add that the software to customise the individual lights for each key is great too. Very bare bones but that’s what you want, doesn’t feel like bloatware. Overall one of the better tech purchases I’ve ever made.

Title: Ticks all the boxes
Review: Lovely weight to the keys. Colours really pop compared to my Logitech G512 in the pic which is still excellent and has nothing wrong with it.I got this mainly to prevent my mouse whacking off the side of my Logitech while gaming. Has happened enough times to warrant purchasing a TKL. This is better than I expected, it’s a joy to type on and is really nice and quiet. Highly recommend.

Title: Nice little keyboard
Review: My last keyboard started failing after a year of regular use. It was a very clicky keyboard, not that I didn’t like it, but clicking away furiously in the middle of the night is a nuisance for people trying to sleep in the next room :D. So went for silent keys this time.Having heard so much about “Cherry keys” had very high hopes from the keyboard. They were “dampened” a bit when it arrived (pun intended). It took me a couple of weeks to really like the keyboard, but after that it’s been a dream. Soft touch, but it needs effort so not mushy, and no clicks. You can make a racket using it if you stomp on it at insane pace, but nowhere as close as clicky keys.Boy said, the spacebar was very “neutral”, apparently something that’s very sought after amongst gamers (meaning it depresses equally anywhere you press it, middle or edge). I don’t game so all I care for is I don’t have to smash space more than once to get a space on screen :-).Backlight, I’ve set it to a mild white and that’s that. These are RGB LEDs for white is a combination of RGB and at some angles in a dark room you can discern how much of RG and B is lit to give you “white”. Doesn’t bother me much, but more discerning gamers might be ‘offended’ :D. I would give it 4.5 stars (0.5 deducted for that lack of diffusion between RGB LEDs)

Title: Great price to performance
Review: I’ve tried a few keyboards in my time and this one, while visually does not stand out, is great. The key motion has good travel, the RGB control is nice to have and it isn’t in your face like a lot of “Gaming” keyboards. I also didn’t want a number pad and most gaming keyboards have them so it was a win-win.
