Title: Very efficient and compact dehumidifier. Good value for money.
Review: I was really pleasantly surprised with this dehumidifier. It is just the right size to place in my caravan when I am not using it for a few weeks and it keeps it nice and fresh and not feeling damp. The 3 modes that it has are also very useful .. so can use it when drying clothes on a clothes rack without the room becoming fusty or damp. It is easy to move around on castors and it is not heavy to lift. Easy to store with cable wrap bar and a plug holding section so it doesn’t flop about.An excellent purchase and good value for money.

Title: Fantastic dehumidifier
Review: For years I’ve been using those Unibond dehumanisers or those ones where you put a sack of something or other into an ill fitting container, and you pour out the contents when full.They were okay I supposed, but they were creeping up in price.So, when Vine offered up this DMD compressor dehumidifier I leapt at it.So, whilst this thing is a lot, lot bigger than the small ones I’ve been using, it is still relatively small and compact when compared to your washing machine but a bit larger than, say, a mini-fridge. However, you could comfortably place this in just about any room and have space to manoeuvre around it.Setup takes seconds, and the touch panel is very intuitive without reading the instructions, though I do suggest reading the instructions at least the once.I whacked this thing up in the conservatory, were clothes usually end up to dry, and I was both shocked and impressed at just how much water was in the tank after just a few hours. The clothes? Well they were as good as bone dry!Oh, it’s also relatively quiet when running. I mean you do hear it, but you quickly tune it out and it just becomes background noise. The blurb also suggested a very low running cost too, which is great in this economy, Â£1.28 for 24 hours!You can also set this thing up for continuous drainage, BUT, the auto-cut off won’t work if you do that.All in all, this thing is fantastic. I’ll be using this quite a bit I dare say…

Title: Made short work of extracting a tank full of water.
Review: The ‘DMDÂ® 16L/Day Compressor Dehumidifier With Digital Humidity Display, Quiet & Energy Efficient, Low Energy 5p Per Hour, 24H Timer For Home’ arrived in a branded box that also contained a drainage pipe and Information for use.As with all mains electrical appliances I first checked the fuse, and was pleased to find a 5A fuse rather than the often found 13A fuse. Looking at the power requirements of this dehumidifier it should allow a 3A fuse to be fitted.The unit itself is a lot smaller than I envisaged, but I am not complaining at that. It was during the move of the unit to the utility room I found my first issue with the unit, and that was the lifting points being off set, it feels like the unit may slip out of the hands, and unlike normal lifting points that usually have something either side of the fingers, this unit only has something at one end, the other is open.Once in position I set the unit to operate immediately as we had bright sun, and its power requirements could easily be met by our solar panels, if it had not been sunny I would have left it till the night where it could use low rate electricity.On checking the unit later in the afternoon, I found the tank was full, and this is where I found my second issue, that relates to removing the tank, the only place to pull from is some way back and has only enough room for the tips of fingers, even having large hands I didn’t find it that easy.Overall I was impressed with the performance and will be using it for extended periods with the drain hose attached, though it would have been nice if ithe hose was considerably longer.I have given this dehumidifier a 4 star rating, due to the issues I encountered. In my opinion this unit would be better served by a central handle, think bucket, which allows it to be lifted in one hand, rather than awkwardly with two. The water tank also needs an easier way to remove it, maybe a built in handle at the front.

Title: Well made and was easy to set up and operate.
Review: Having for years had a larger and less efficient dehumidifier, which we need to remove some of the excess moisture we get inside our 1930s house, was keen to try a modern, compact version, with energy efficiency being part of its advertised properties.Well packaged and very compact when unpacked, looks to be well made and was easy to set up and operate.Moderately noisy, but not excessively so, you can hear the compressor rumbling away in the background. It has an auto stop when the tank full, or the option of connecting the hose for continuous drain, if you have a suitable outlet.The screen and the text surrounding is not easy to see in poor light, you need light onto it to read the adjacent text, despite the actual screen and indicators being clear as they are illuminated. The touch controls all work well.Works well in reducing the moisture collecting along the bottom of our windows and the dampness caused by some un-resolvable issues with damp walls adjacent old chimneys, managing the problem rather than solving it but it improves the interior of the house. As winter comes round, we dry a lot more clothes inside, which adds to the moisture problem, this will really help keep it under control.We found that it filled on average about every six hours, so certainly efficient in removing moisture, though the tank us smaller than our previous machine.As far as energy efficiency goes, canâ€™t quantify that but if it achieves the claimed 5p/hour that would be good.
