Title: Don’t listen to negative review
Review: I broke my original jug so needed a replacement, after reading some negative review I was about not to buy but then I bought it. I was happy that I ignore the negative reviews because this jug is original and just like my previous one came with filter machine. Don’t know what’s wrong with ppl who saying negative stuff about the jug . Please buy it and ignore negative reviews.

Title: Dangerous item – do not buy a smeg coffee machine I have had multiple jugs break
Review: I have had a smeg filter coffee machine for 2 years, during that time i have replaced the coffee pot 3 times the most recent i purchased from Amazon as I was getting no where with the manufacturer! at £40 each this is not a cheap item to replace and after purchasing this pot on 26th April 2024 it has once again broken in the exact same place, each time the handle beaks near to where it joins the glass pot, making this extremely dangerous to use, this has to be a manufacturing error, for it to happen 3 times is beyond a coincidence, i love my coffee, but really wish i has not purchased a smeg coffee filter machine 🙁

Title: Handle broke on two consecutive jugs. Dangerous.
Review: DO NOT BUY. I bought a smeg filter coffee machine in 2020. In 2022 the handle became extremely wobbly so I bought a replacement jug. The handle on the replacement jug has just fallen off and I narrowly escaped injury. I don’t use the machine every day, it’s not overuse, it’s shoddy manufacturing. Won’t be returning for a third jug.

Title: Very brittle plastic handle
Review: Came new with the machine in Feb 2022 – Broke this afternoon. The machine is used most days; the jug is hand washed 90% of the time and has been through the dishwasher perhaps once every 2 weeks, but the plastic is weak and breaks.Luckily I contacted Amazon support, who got me through to Smeg’s spares department. They have arranged a free replacement to arrive in 3-5 days. In theory this machine has a 2 year warranty, so might be a few more jugs to come…

Title: Decent coffee maker, appalling quality of jug and handle
Review: I don’t understand how any company that claims to be a premium brand has such poor quality standards but even worse, how they do not have replacements at an acceptable cost. The machine costs £199, with jug, and a replacement jug is >£150 and SMEG do nothing about it, so be very careful before buying one of these.
