It captures extreme details with high precision, ensuring that you have an apparent and instant view of your doorstep, allowing you to identify visitors of any suspicious activities.The video doorbell’s App allows for conveying instant HD video transmission directly to your smartphone or on a monitor station. The low delay video communication allows you to screen your front door immediately whether you’re at home or elsewhere. Review: SUMMARYThe Hiseeu Video doorbell with the associated VicoHome App were easy to install and set-up. Since obtaining the doorbell a few weeks ago, it has performed well and, whenever I’ve asked a question, the technical support service has been excellent.REVIEWRecently I decided to research the various video doorbells that were currently available. Most of them seemed to offer similar ‘basic’ features but then charged for the use of other features / services (e.g. many now charge a subscription service for cloud storage, smart motion detection, etc).After purchasing a Hiseeu wireless security camera (about two years ago) and having positive experiences with both using the camera and their excellent technical support service (thank you Jason), I decided to order the new Hiseeu video doorbell (DB2).Items supplied in box:DoorbellFlat mounting bracket – The doorbell ‘clips’ directly to this bracket, which may be directly fixed to a wall, door frame, etc (using the 3M tape or fixings – all supplied) OR used in conjunction with an optional angled bracket (two different ones were supplied – see below)3M tape (adhesive mounting pad – an alternative to using the screw fixings)Two (optional) angle brackets – corner mount (15 degree angle*) and wedge mount (10 degree angle*). I used the corner mount (in conjunction with the main flat mounting bracket) to angle the doorbell towards the entrance path (*Note: Angles as stated in the ‘User Instructions’ booklet)Wireless (radio frequency, not WiFi) chime unit – Note: To operate, the chime needs to be plugged in (it has an integral standard USB connector ‘plug’) to a USB power supply unit (PSU) ‘socket’ (Not supplied – I just used a spare mobile phone charger PSU with a USB socket. Please see supplied instructions for PSU power requirements). The chime unit has a ringtone selection button (Hiseeu says it has ‘16 fun and holiday themed ring tones’) and an adjustable volume level buttonFixings pack – containing two small screws (required if one of the optional angle brackets is used – be careful not to drop/misplace these!), two doorbell bracket fixing screws and two wall plugs (required if fixing to a wall, etc). A ‘removal pin’ is also supplied to allow the doorbell to be detached from the flat bracket (e.g. for recharging)USB cable – for recharging the doorbell periodically (Note: A USB socket power supply unit isn’t supplied, I just used a spare mobile phone USB charger. Please see supplied instructions for PSU power requirements)The video doorbell unit includes the following:Lens – The camera picture quality is full 1080P HD, with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 150 degree field of view (it also has infrared night vision – see below).Speaker and Microphone (for two way audio)Human body infrared sensor and Infrared light (used automatically at night)Doorbell buttonIndicator light (Illuminates when charging, movement detected, etc. Can be disabled e.g. sleep mode)Anti-theft tamper alarm (Note: This can be switched off in the App e.g. before removing the doorbell to recharge the in-built battery)Removal hole (a ‘removal pin’ is supplied to allow the doorbell to be detached from the flat mounting bracket e.g. for recharging).Power button & ‘Reboot’ hole (if you need to reset the video doorbell)Micro-USB port (for supplied USB charging cable)Micro-SD card slot Before purchasing, I contacted their excellent UK technical support (Jason) who advised me that the maximum memory card capacity supported is 128Gb. I subsequently purchased and installed a SanDisk micro SDXC UHS-I A1 card (speed up to 140MB/s). This has been used for several weeks without any problems.The doorbell was extremely easy to install and set-up (just be careful not to misplace/drop the small screws if you decide to use one of the optional angled brackets in addition to the main / flat mounting bracket!)After downloading the VicoHome App (I used the Android App but an Apple version is also available), and following the instructions (User instruction booklet and App), it was easy to set up both the video doorbell and wireless chime unit (Note: the chime unit uses radio frequency not WiFi).Please note that the video doorbell only works with a 2.4GHz wireless network, so, if you have a multi-frequency wireless network, please make sure that you connect it to the 2.4GHz network. I have a dual 2.4GHz / 5GHz wireless network (as well as a wireless network extender). I had previously split the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to separately named networks and ensured I connected the video doorbell to one of the 2.4GHz networks. Following the instructions, I connected the doorbell to my network without any problems.Vicohome App:The Vicohome App is easy to use and, by default, you get the FREE ‘Lite’ service (includes cloud storage for three consecutive days). Although I haven’t tried these (as I decided to purchase a 128Gb memory card), the App provides details (via the ‘User’ menu button) about other subscription options (i.e. ‘Basic’, ‘Plus’ and ‘Pro’) if you wish to extend the App features (i.e. intelligent notification and activity zone features) and the cloud storage time period and size.The main ‘Home’ screen provides an image from the doorbell (a recent ‘still’ from the captured video) with a ‘Play’ button in the middle of the image. Pressing the ‘Play’ button connects to the camera for live viewing. Several other ‘buttons’ are also displayed: One to toggle the live sound on/off, one to sound an audible alarm and another to speak via the doorbell unit speaker.There is also a [ ] ‘button’ to display the video in full screen mode. Other icons (when you’re in live view mode) include a camera (to take a screenshot), a video camera (to record the live video) and a ‘Stop’ icon to end the live view (Note: The camera, video camera and play/stop icons disappear after a few seconds. Just touch the live view screen briefly if you wish these to reappear).The ‘Home’ screen includes the following (to the left, above the ‘still image’) – the name you allocated to the doorbell, a ‘motion detection’ icon (if you’ve enabled this in ‘Settings’), the Wifi signal strength and a battery level indicator. Also provided (to the right, above the ‘still image’) are ‘buttons’ to ‘Share’ the doorbell device button (a square box with arrow pointing from the top right corner), a ‘Settings’ button (a hexagonal ‘nut’ shaped icon), and an ‘Envelope’ icon (displays a ‘calendar’ type view with a ‘list’ of screenshot icons – with times- for the recorded events). The recorded events can also be accessed via the ‘Library’ button at the bottom of the screen. Recorded events (videos) can be played by pressing the ‘still’ images on this screen.NOTE: Although I haven’t tried using the ‘Share’ feature, pressing the ‘Share’ button (a square box with arrow pointing from the top right corner) and selecting the ‘Device sharing’ option displays a QR code. I believe that this QR code would then be read by someone else who you wished to share access to the doorbell with (they would need to install the Vicohome App to link to the doorbell using this QR code). According to the information provided in the App, the invitee can watch the live stream and recorded videos.It would appear that the home screen will allow you to display several doorbell images (still images as described above) at the same time. Please note that I don’t know the maximum number of doorbells that can be set-up / connected to the App.The doorbell has a motion detector and, as well as recording the event, the App can notify you if movement is detected (if motion detection is enabled in the App settings). If the doorbell button is pressed the App can notify you (either via a notification or a ring on your mobile phone) and you can see (via live view) and speak with the person who pressed the doorbell.The doorbell appears to be well made and the specifications state that it is waterproof and dustproof (IP65 rating).Although the doorbell requires the use of a small ‘pin’ (supplied) to remove it from the main flat bracket, the doorbell also includes an anti-tamper device, and associated alarm sound, should someone try to remove it. Providing this feature is turned on in the App, you will also be notified (and can view recorded video) of tamper events. The anti-tamper feature can be temporarily disabled, via the App, when you need to remove the doorbell from the bracket (e.g. to recharge the battery).Smart HomeAlthough I haven’t tested this feature, the device / App is compatible with Amazon Alexa (see the ‘Streaming Interconnection’ option via the App ‘User’ menu). Apparently it isn’t currently compatible with Google Home (I’ve submitted a request to VicoHome for this feature to be added in the future).CONCLUSIONIn the few weeks since I installed the video doorbell, I’ve been impressed with the ease of installation and use; the quality of the unit & the captured video; and the excellent technical support service provided by Hiseeu (thank you Jason!) I generally received a very quick response to my questions, only occasionally was there a delay of a few hours (this was purely due to the difference in working hours between his time zone and the U.K.)

Title: Works ok but fiddly to install.
Review: Has a decent picture quality and a nice loud ring, The installation manual is well written but lacks any detail,so basically, you have to wing-it. An installation video would be very helpful but I couldn’t find one. If you use one of the optional mounting brackets I can guarantee you will drop one of the minute fixing screws and never find it again!

Review: Sono molto soddisfatta. L’ho comprato il 25 marzo e la batteria, caricata bene, è ancora al 61%. La gran comodità è che il campanello suona con la suoneria installata in una presa dentro casa ma anche nel mio telefono anche se sono in un’altra città e posso interloquire con colui che sta suonando al campanello di casa. Se è il corriere posso dirgli di lasciare il pacco oltre il cancello. Posso vedere distintamente chi suona, anche di notte, una bella comodità, il tutto per una spesa ragionevole.Aggiorno: ho caricato oggi 08/07 il campanello che era comunque ancora al 10% dire che sono soddisfatta è dire pochino.

Review: Comprato durante i prime days per 60 euro. Avevo bisogno di un citofono wireless per l’ingresso secondario lontano da prese e dal modem. Ho acquistato questo video citofono e sono rimasto stupito, prende meglio del blink all’ingresso principale nonostante sia molto più distante dal router. Qualità video eccellente e risposta ai movimenti accurata. Quando qualcuno citofona arriva una chiamata sul telefono da cui puoi rispondere direttamente. È tutto integrato senza dove comprare altri oggetti come nel caso di blink per il sync mode. Consigliatissimo
