Title: Just what I wanted
Review: Having recently been the victim of a ‘crash for cash’ incident, I knew that I needed something which would help to protect my insurance!This mirror dash cam is excellent quality and gives very clear daylight video feeds. To set up it takes next to no time and all you need to do is to install a SD card to record any issues. I wanted to hide the wiring so tucked them behind the trim… I had already got plastic panel tools so no scratching of my trim and easily fitted.There is an anti glare film available and I would advise getting it for the mirror as this can be a little disconcerting, however, having seen a friend’s more expensive version of this product from another manufacturer, it appears that this is a common issue and not specific to this product so I have not held this against this product.Overall, very impressed and I look forward to downloading issues should they occur!

Review: The product is amazing and I canâ€™t complain about anything. The rear camera can even see through my 5% tints (at night itâ€™s difficult but I have very dark tints so not surprised about that), so iâ€™m happy it can do that. I was glad to see that the reviews of their customer support was very good and that they always helped. My first email I got a response that confirmed the hardwire kit I bought is not compatible and they offered to refund my purchase of another hardwire kit that they recommended, they didnâ€™t need to buy it for me but they did – all in all much better customer support than most companies. Sometimes the reply times vary, but regardless they were very helpful in the end!

Review: I was looking for a dual channel camera with great picture quality that could replace an older Taotronics dashcam I had suction cupped to windshield.I wanted something that didn’t rely on suction cups (the heat kept causing my dashcam to fall off the windshield) to free up some windshield real-estate- Easy enough to install; The length of cable to reach the rear camera (mounted inside) is pretty generous. I had to hide quite a lot of it under the headliner to prevent any hanging- Great picture quality for both front and back cameras; very clear image both ways, and easily adjustable viewing angles- Interface is straightforward and easy to use; very simple swipe gestures to quickly display one or both cameras. Interface it review videos is also very clear- Really like the one touch button to turn off display and use camera as regular rearview mirror- GPS feature has, so far, displayed direction and speed pretty accurately- GPS dongle also has a generous length of cord and hide a substantial amount under the headliner with it mounted toward the top of my windshieldA couple of things I noticed about this style of dash cam that anyone on the fence may want to consider:Using the rear camera as your rearview mirror can be a bit off-putting(I’m still getting used to it). Due to the wide angle I sometimes just find it easier to turn off the camera and use it as a regular mirror. When glancing at the camera while it’s on, you’ll still see the reflection in the screen, so it can be a bit jarring trying to quickly focus on what’s behind you.The screen itself, while it can function as a standard mirror, isn’t a proper mirror, so the reflection will have a darker tint. Not a big deal during the day, but you could argue its not the best use case a night.Also take note of the length of the camera vs the length of your car’s rear view mirror. I didn’t measure and have a bit of the mirror showing out from behind one end of the dashcam. Not a big deal as I don’t notice it from my viewing angle, but worth noting if you’re someone who might.Haven’t had a negative experience with it yet.So far the only feature I wish it had was Wifi so that I might easily access recorded clips from my phone.

Review: I have a 2012 Wrangler JKUR. I’ve been in need of a new rear camera system for a while, and the benefit of dash and rear camera recording at the same time was a big benefit. I also needed the rear camera to be weatherproof as I’m mounting it to an exterior spare tire. The touch screen and picture resolution are both really nice, as well as settings for nearly anything you may want. It is very user friendly and didn’t give me any user interface issues.The only negative I can even come up with is that I’d prefer there to be an app where you can see and save the footage with your phone. However, when shopping around, I found that adding just that feature (to everything that comes with this one), would cost about twice the money. You can still pull the SD card easy enough, or even just watch the footage straight on the screen, so I opted to save the money. IMHO though, that is the only downside at all, and a minor one at that.Also, I should mention the fabulous customer service. I want to hardwire the system for 24 hour monitoring, and also wanted an extension cable for the rear camera so that I can move the camera onto my bike rack when using it. The company promptly replied and asked for my address. They are sending those items free of charge.Overall, I’m very happy with this product. The only difficult part of the install is hiding the wiring for a professional look. Everything else is super easy. Great seller with a great product!

Review: Was attracted to this camera because the height of the mirror unit was narrower than most other mirror dash cams. Our current rear-view mirror has buttons on the bottom for opening garage doors, gates, etc., so we needed a unit that didn’t cover these buttons. This unit did not interfere with the buttons. Installation was easy and the software setup was very easy. The touch screen is quite nice and easy to use. The daylight quality of the recorded videos is very good, quite clear in fact. Havenâ€™t did any nighttime driving yet, so canâ€™t comment on that. Adjusting the front camera upwards so that there is more sky with less car hood will cause the recorded image to be more fisheye looking. My biggest complaint, and the reason I only gave it a so-so rating, is that you can see the real-time images on the screen and the reflection of the rear-view as if it was a regular mirror AT THE SAME TIME. This double display is extremely annoying to the point of not wanting to even look at the mirror. I donâ€™t know if this is common with all mirror dash cams or not. Adjusting the mirror to prevent this throws off the front camera positioning. The brightness setting of the display doesnâ€™t make any difference, nor does it matter if it is sunny or cloudy out. We will probably just shut off the mirror (it will still record) and use it as a normal rear-view mirror and will only display the video as needed. The unit did not come with a micro-SD Memory Card, so we ordered the recommended Samsung 128GB micro-SD Memory Card. After several days of usage, we found that 4K will give you about 6 hours of recording time before it loops over the old files with the 128GB card. We chose to not use the GPS, so it wasnâ€™t tested.One thing I think is normal for most all mirror dash cams is that the front camera is on the far-left side and usually extendable. This may or may not prevent the driverâ€™s visor from opening all the way toward the windshield. Also, once the front camera is adjusted to your liking, moving the mirror will throw off the front camera positioning affecting what is recording. This could be an issue when there is more than one driver who adjusts the mirror to their liking.If we had to do it over again, we would have chosen a regular front and rear camera system rather than the mirror system.UPDATE August 7, 2022: JOMISE contacted us about this review and offered us an anti-glare film and a partial refund. We accepted the anti-glare film but turned down the partial refund. The film worked quite well, but it wasn’t 100% effective which wasn’t unexpected and probably normal. It worked well enough to cause me to go from a 3-star to a 4-star review (as long as the anti-glare film is used). Anyone purchasing this product should also get the anti-glare film from JOMISE.

Review: I LOVE THIS MIRROR~ I was driving and someone hit me on the road causing an accident. The driver claimed that I hit them by changing lanes and etc. BUT, I had this thing, saved me a huge mess with the insurance and police!!This mirror is nice, because it doesn’t make it OBVIOUS that you have a camera, and it doubles as a mirror which is great. PRO TIP: dim the brightness all the way down, so you can still use it AS A NORMAL mirror, instead of looking a digital version of the back up camera. It also records BOTH the front and back, some cameras only record the front.. which defeats the point..Last tip! Make sure to keep a microsdcard reader and adapter for your PHONE. That way the police can see the footage and give out the tickets to the other offender if you ever get in an accident..The installation was easy, you just need to hook it into the bulb of the reverse light. Since then, I bought 3 of these cameras and each one has been holding up! I had them for about 2 years now!

Review: Did not fit my 2022 Highlander. Dashcam mirror did not fit flush with my original Highlander mirror. The 4 mounts on the dashcam could not go over the original mirror resulting a large gap when applied back to back. The height (top to bottom) of my original mirror was too large. This is an 11 inch mirror and did not cover the entire original mirror as the adjustment for the camera lense left a half inch visibility of the original mirror on the right side. A 12 inch mirror would be suitable for the 2022 Highlander covering the entire mirror and nice lense placement. The product is great but keep in mind that if your original mirror is 10 inch, then get an 11 or 12 inch mirror to cover your entire mirror.
