Delter Coffee Press – Coffee Maker 400ml (Transparent/Clear) Filter Espresso Coffee Maker
Price: £15.16
(as of Oct 15,2024 04:37:41 UTC – Delter Coffee Press has been designed to solve one of the biggest problems in coffee brewing – agitation. To avoid a bitter and inconsistent extraction caused by uncontrolled agitation, the Delter Coffee Press uses a unique jet-seal. This seal keeps the brew water and the coffee grounds separated until the brew commences, preventing uncontrolled agitation. When pressure is applied to the plunger, water and coffee contact is activated, allowing agitation to occur for the first time. This design allows the user to have complete control over the water flow and agitation, resulting in a brew with less bitterness and more clarity. Features: – Jet Seal: Unique seal that prevents any unwanted agitation of the coffee bed during brewing. – Injection Brewing: The water and coffee are separate until you’re ready to start brewing using injection brewing. – Simple to Clean: All you need is a few minutes to wash with water – Portable: Weighing less than 250g (8. 8 oz), the Delter is ideal for camping, plane, travel, office or home. – Pocketable Design: Compact and portable for coffee anywhere To Brew: To brew with the Delter Coffee Press, you need freshly roasted ground coffee and water just off the boil. 1. Place a filter in the Delter cap and rinse with water and discard. 2. Add freshly ground coffee into the Delter coffee chamber (max. capacity 30g/1. 1 oz). 3. Twist on the Delter cap. 4. Flip the Delter over onto your cup and start pouring your hot water into the brew chamber, filling to the line markings. 5. Raise the plunger to dose the exact amount of water required for your brew. 6. Push down on the plunger to activate water and coffee contact. 7. Raise the plunger again to redose or refill the brew chamber for larger, double-batch servings. 8. Enjoy! Specifications: – Capacity: 400ml (13. 5 oz) – Materials: BPA-free plastic – Weight:

Title: Good fun. Good coffee.
Review: I have sevarl coffee makers and rotate them each day. This one makes great tasting coffee (San Francisco Welsh blend arabica), and is fun to use. Clean taste. No grits.

Title: Excellent product!
Review: Brilliant, makes an excellent cup of coffee once you know your way around, ideally need a little bit of filter coffee knowledge before use, although very intuitive instructions included. By far the cleanest cup of coffee I’ve had.

Title: Great coffee, let down by a major design flaw.
Review: I loved this, I really did.. used on average of twice a day it made coffee great for me again as I had to throw less away as I generally used to forget when I had an Aeropress brewing. But one thing killed this for me.. The silcone shower screen between the brew chamber and the plunger. After about 6 months, it will not stay in and pops out every time you start to feed water to the ground coffee. Which meant fishing it out at the end when you eject the grounds.Whilst it is still usable, the coffee seems to suffer for it.

Title: The clean-ness of a v60 with the convenience and compactness of an aeropress
Review: Really good, clean coffee, just like a v60, but compact as an aeropress, and no need for much extra kit, just your filters and a hand grinder. The package didn’t come with the dosing cap as pictured but a quick email to the company sorted that, they replied very quick and sent out the missing part, it also arrived quickly. Definitely reccomend this coffee maker, I use 15g coffee beans and 350mls water 🙂

Title: Very good when it works!
Review: I have been using the Aeropress for a number of years, which is excellent, but I have been seduced into trying this alternative because of some very good reviews.Very well made and quite compact, it produces an extremely good cup of coffee. It is also handy that the Aeropress filters are compatible, although very, very slightly larger. However, after only a couple of months or so, the Y seal at the bottom of the plunger caused problems. Its job is to allow water to flow past it without restriction as the plunger is raised, but to form a seal on the downstroke, which pushes the water through the grinds. Mine no longer forms a seal, so the hot water merely slides past the piston and the water stays where it is. No good at all.I see that other reviewers have experienced the same problem.I contacted the UK supplier and purchased a new seal – very cheap, but over £3.00 with postage. Apparently, seals are not covered by the guarantee. The worst part is that the new seal is even worse than the original.Back to the Aeropress!!I give it 3 stars for design and build.

Review: First, yes I liked the coffee. I followed the instructions and found the step when pulling up to siphon water into cylinder to be difficult to do safely with scalding water. The main cylinder has little wings that are supposed to sit on 3 point of the rim of your coffee cup. These wings are relatively small meaning either: you have to use a narrow cup making the press potentially unstable or you use a wider cup where the wings are less in contact with the cup making the press potentially unstable.Widen the wings and siphon the air out instead of hot water in.

Review: The Delter Coffee Press is a fantastic portable coffee brewer that has quickly become my go-to option. With it, I don’t know much of the point of using pour-over anymore. Here’s what makes the Delter Coffee Press stand out:Portability: It’s small and lightweight, making it easy to take with you wherever you go. Its compact size means it can easily fit in your bag, making it a great choice for outdoor adventures, office use, or just keeping your kitchen counter clutter-free.Ease of use and consistent results: The Delter Coffee Press is designed to provide flavor similar to a pour-over, but without the need to worry about how you pour water over the coffee bed. The result is a very consistently delicious cup of coffee that is simple to achieve, even for those new to brewing.Minimal equipment required: One thing I love is its built-in volume markings, so there’s no need for a separate scale. Furthermore, you don’t need a gooseneck kettle like you would for a pour-over setup. This saves space and keeps your coffee-making equipment to a minimum.A common discussion point when it comes to the Delter Coffee Press is its comparison to the AeroPress. The AeroPress, an immersion-style brewer, typically demands a higher coffee bean dosage (around 30g), resulting in a fuller-bodied coffee. On the other hand, the Delter Press takes an approach more akin to pour-over brewing, using a lower bean dosage of 15-20g. It also yields a cup of coffee with more floral, sweet, and acidic notes, accentuating the beans’ subtle intricacies. Personally, I find the flavors generated by the Delter Press to be more appealing and well-balanced.

Review: A good brewer no doubt but don’t buy thinking you can make espresso with it. It’s a percolation brewer unlike aeropress which is an immersion brewer. You can make a wide variety of brews in an aeropress but in delter press you face some limitations because of limited coffee input in the cap(24~25gms). But the major advantage of delter press is that, you can make a large quantity of coffee as you can keep adding water from the top. This is the only point in which it beats aeropress. Not as easy to clean as an aeropress. It’s a fun brewer and has an awesome design, a good addition to your collection.
