Title: I’m impressed
Review: First time spraying so I don’t have other spray gun use to compare it with. Bought this due to the reviews on YouTube and on here. Only used twice so far, with epoxy primer and 2k metallic direct gloss both using the 1.5 fluid tip. Really happy with how it layed down paint, slight orange peel but that could easily be reflective of user inexperience rather than the gun itself. Looking forward to trying it with conventional base and clear. I suspect the cfm rating is slightly optimistic however, I used with a small 50L compressor which should manage 7cfm and I had to let it catch up on a couple of occasions. Seems well made so for the cost I am very happy with it.

Title: Faulty pressure regulator.
Review: Got everything setup and all excited about trying out the new gun. Turns out the inline pressure regulator/gauge is fault.Reads 0 all the time and lets only a tiny amount of air through regardless of adjustment.Seriously disappointed having waited for 10 days for this gun to arrive in the UK.

Title: Broken on arrival
Review: Air intake control did nothing no matter what I did. Just didn’t let any air pass through. Luckily I could remove it and use an external regulator but a bit of a pain when I’ve waited 3 weeks for delivery. My £20 draper guns work better, but I needed an lvlp gun and this was one of the few available

Review: I read all the really great reviews but sometimes even then you have to be cautious. Then a really prominent YouTuber named Paint Society bought one and said that this was one of the best spray guns he had used for this kind of money. It is definitely marketed to the DIY person who paints often enough that they are building their confidence but not painting for a living. This is essentially 3 guns in one. 1.7 is enough to move thinned primers and based on the type of base or clear you shoot, 1.3 and 1.5 nozzles/needles are included. Being LPLV is absolutely necessary for home/garage use as you can get pro results with way less overspray using small compressors. This gun is ideal for doing small to medium sized jobs. The build quality is fantastic at this price point. It’s not an Iwata but it’s not a Harbor Freight/Princess Auto special either. I’ve been doing more restorations lately and built myself a better workstation/spray booth and this gun is now my go to gun for just about everything now. I still use my inexpensive HVLP 1.7 for the primers – I’ll be using this gun for base & clear.

Review: I’ve been spraying paint for 60 years, these spray guns are a lot of bang for the buck, as good as many of the high priced spray guns I’ve owned. They lay down paint as good as any other professional gun for a fraction of the price, it’s a winner. As advertised this LVLP spray gun when paired to a small compressors all the way down to 20 gallon capacity, it will do a fantastic job. I personally found it to do an excellent job shooting Acrylic Urethane, lacquer, single stage, base coat, clear coat, and primers. For the price of this AeroPro R500 A610, purchase three of them, so you don’t have to change spray nozzles, set one up for primer, one for base coat/Acrylic Urethane/ Clear Coat, you’ll still pay less than one expensive Devilbiss gun. Don’t believe all the negative hype that these AeroPro R500 A610 LVLP spray guns are junk, mechanically they’re excellent quality and mechanically sound. I read one review that contained a complaint that the pressure regulator lens is plastic, fact is that it works, second as any old timer knows who’s a bit creative, either purchase one with a glass lens, or simply make a paper flap to protect it from over spray, easier yet, wipe the thing off. You purchased a great spray gun for a great price with accessories. As always, it’s the guy squeezing the trigger that’s important, that comes with experience and time.I’ve read a few negative complaints about the AEROPRO R500-610, it was obvious from the complaints they more than likely originated from inexperienced users. Complaints that the spray gun tip could not be removed, possibly cross threaded. The fact is this complaint is not all that uncommon, over the years I’ve found a few spray gun tips that were excessively tight, generally the tip is not cross threaded, just over tightened during assembly, with the proper tools, experience, and patience you can get the tip loose without damaging the spray gun. Leaking spray guns, generally, during my 60 plus years of spray painting, I’ve found that a leaking spray gun is due to over pressure, water getting into the air line, improper cleaning. A leaking spray gun is a common problem amongst professionals and amateur sprayers alike. It’s often caused by the fluid nozzle becoming loose or dried paint blocking the needle, another words, cleanliness is an absolute must with spray guns. A leaking spray gun can also be caused by a damaged needle packing, this falls back to improper cleaning/maintenance, over pressure, etc.. Paint sputtering: this usually means that your nozzle simply isn’t on tight enough, or that the spray gun wasn’t cleaned properly.Spray gun painting, especially automotive spray painting is an art that must be learned over time, most of these problems are caused by “cockpit error, not the equipment, far too many are too quick to blame the equipment. Number one, use only the proper solvents when cleaning, the wrong cleaning solutions can damage, or turn your spray gun into a useless piece of junk.Update: I purchased a second AeroPro A610 so I could have one gun setup for primers, and one for base, and clear coat and I purchased a 5 piece nozzle set to handle all types of paint and primer types. My only con is that in general, all these spray guns seem to focus on how pretty they are and have a slippery finish, the handles should have a textured surface, it’s like that Glock pistol you own, you don’t want it slipping around in your hand so you have complete control.Anyway, the AEROPRO 500-A610 IS A Winner.
