Review: I bought a similar item quite a few years ago and it needed to be replaced now so have paid a little extra this time to have a quality brand – in fact, I bought two.I don’t need a large baking tray, only ever cooking for one, and before trying this model I had used the standard, quite thin baking trays. They did the job but nowhere near as good as this perforated style.The sides are shallow but very sturdy and they prevent the tray from overheating and bending in the oven. It is plenty big enough for holding items such as loose pies, pasties, veg burgers and so on. And why the perforations? They allow a much more even distribution of heat, preventing the bottom over-cooking what is on the tray is one example.Perforated oven accessories are definitely the way to go and I firmly recommend this model.

Review: This “KitchenCraft MasterClass, Crusty Bake Non Stick Baking Tray for Biscuits, Cookies, Oven Chips and Pizza, Grey, 24 x 18 cm” is to be used as an alternative to a larger circular one that is used exclusively for pizzas of up to 12-inches and for the occasional large frozen fruit pie that needs to be thawed and baked in one hit. This will be used for smaller pies, fish parcels etc that are either part-baked or frozen from raw and need to be baked or crisped-up. If used for oven chips, potato skins etc, it is adequate for up to 2 portions but there are larger versions that will suit 4-6 adults.Based upon a larger, circular version and experience with pizzas, it has been found that they crisp well and, provided that they are baked for the correct duration or slightly longer (if occasionally required), will never stick and can be cleanly removed without using metal utensils. Washing-up in the event of something spilling or leaking is easy in warm soapy water using a brush for the stubborn adhesions like cheese or sauces but normally the soft side of a sponge works well.Because of the non-stick coating, in the event that something needs to be sliced or portioned, it is recommended that it be moved to a cutting board and cut on that; otherwise the coating can be damaged.
