Review: A good performing tablet. We received this tablet for use with our 11 year old child. Comes with a transparent case to help keep it safe from those accidental knocks and bumps. The tablet itself is on the heavier side of similar sized products.Good performance of tasks its been used for (light apps and internet browsing and streaming) Battery life is good and uses a USB-C to recharge.

Title: Smooth performance with ample storage
Review: This tablet has been great for handling daily activities. The performance is smooth, and the display is bright and clear, making it ideal for streaming and casual browsing. The expandable storage is a plus, allowing more apps and media without worrying about space. Title: A good budget tablet, but it took an age to get it updated!
Review: This is a good budget tablet with a decent size screen that looks great. YouTube, Netflix, web browsing all looked and ran well. It’s not a super fast tablet though and at times it felt sluggish. Not so much it was bothersome given the price point, but once in a while i rolled my eyes while waiting. It’d be good for casual use or for a younger user, but not so much for heavy use or a power user.I do have a couple of grumbles. Out of the box i charged up to 100% and battery dropped down to 30% just updating* the device and adding a couple of security apps to make sure nothing unpleasant was lurking on the device. Avast and Malwarebytes apps reported no issues. Once it dropped below 30% i couldn’t carry on updating the Android system because it wanted more charge to continue. The whole updating, rebooting, app updates, system updates etc. took at least a couple of hours if not more. It wasn’t a quick unboxing experience.My second grumble is the speaker placement. They are placed for holding the tablet in portrait orientation, once in landscape the speakers produce sound from one side of the tablet only. It’s jarring watching content.This is a good tablet for the price, but it does have some short comings. I will add that the support of the tablet is excellent. The support forums have firmware / roms, plus recovery tools available to download and good instructions for recovery or manual updates. That’s a massive improvement on the usual no name brands.As of the time of this review i was able to update to the follow OTA;Firmware : v1.0_20240225_20240225-2211Android security update : 20231205

Title: Inexpensive 10.1 inch tablet, but not speedy at even basic tasks
Review: This inexpensive 10.1 inch tablet has all the expected tech with Wifi6, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB OTG support. It has microSD card slot to extend the storage, and up to 1TB cards are supported. The tablet is supplied with a silicon case pre-fitted for protection and also appears to have a screen protector installed too. In the box is a small charger and USB-A to USB-C charge cable.Setup from the box went ok initially but it did lose contact with the wifi during the setup process. It was necessary to turn the wifi off and back on to get it to reconnect. After install Android updates and installed apps take the usual time to get themselves ready for use.There’s not many additional apps pre-installed which is good in my view. I added the Amazon app and some other favourites.One thing that felt apparent from the startup and is more obvious in use is the slow speed that this tablet operates at. To click a link to an Amazon product on a web page takes at least 20 seconds before the Amazon app opens and the product shown. Loading and switching between apps takes a long time. From the standard browser, opening a link in a new tab is painful, it takes at least five seconds for the tab to open before it starts loading content.The good points are, that the screen looks nice, but is only 1200 x 800 resolution, the sound from online materials and movies is good. I could connect a USB-C card reader and transfer photos from the card to the storage card in the tablet, but it is a slow old process. Slower than a 4 year old phone with the same task.The tablet doesn’t charge if you try to use high speed charging cables and chargers. I have a high power multiport USB-C charger with fast charge cables for my other devices and this is the only one that won’t charge from this setup. If you use the supplied cable it works though. Battery life is not bad, but drops 35-40% of the charge if left in standby for two days without being used.Overall, it’s an inexpensive, yet slow tablet.

Review: Pretty decent mid/low range tablet.Does the usual day to day browsing, videos and apps.Just about to have some light gaming.Good battery life and decent speaker, just nice for iplayer, videos or movies on the move.Not quite full HD, but quite bright and sharp.Responsive touch and smooth to operate.Been using as a reader and news on the move for 4 weeks, also come catch up tv series.Slightly misleading of the 8GB RAM – where only 4 is physical.And 64GB ROM could be slightly low for latest apps requirement, but you can also OTG or micro sd.No sim tray but could always use hotspot, decent connection via wifi 6.And BT5.0 also handy for keyboard or headphone, but there is always a 3.5mm audio jack – you just need to find your wired headphones now.Reasonably at £72 with voucher.

Review: I find the UMIDIGI G2 Tab to be an excellent budget-friendly Android tablet, especially considering the price I paid. Running on Android 13, it offers clear visual images and customizable layout settings. The battery life is decent for general use, and the 10.1″ screen size is nice. The touch screen response time is reasonably fast, and the dual speakers sound great for my needs. Although the tablet is slightly heavy, the memory capacity is decent, and I was able to expand it with a microSD card. The back case feels good in the hands. However, it’s not ideal for heavy gaming. While the processor is the latest, it feels a bit slow compared to my expectations. Despite these minor drawbacks, the tablet meets my needs for browsing, reading, and light gaming, making it a worthwhile purchase for its price.

Review: The first impressions of umidigi G2 tablet is it looks like Amazon fire 10. It packs all the functions of tablet except without sim for wireless networks. It comes with screen protector and protective case which I don’t need to look for. Wall charger and type C cable is also included.The position of the power button is located above the volume buttons which mimic the pixel devices.Andriod 13 was installed with 8G ram and 64G storage. There is a slot beside the charging port for microSD I inserted a unused 32 G microSD to expand the storage. Need restart then it recogonizes it.The ram and storage are good enough for web browsing, YouTube. But cannot compare with pixel book or iPad as it is just a budget device for kids or parents.I found it has 2 speakers at the bottom which produces good sounds. I only need set to 1/3 of volume to listen everything. Watching YouTube has no problem without lagging. The app comes with are all mostly google apps which what I am familiar with.The camera has labelled as AI camera. I tested it produces average quality of picture but cannot expect too much with budget device. One feature I like is taking pictures on dark. It will turn on the flash before taking the picture so the outcome is better than other budget device. The selfie camera is also average.The battery is okay and it should last for a few hours of active usage with fully charged.I purchased it for watching stocks and finance news as I don’t want to use my work laptop as compare can trace which site I visited.I might consider buying another for my parents because they used for watching YouTube.It is not recommend for people looking for high performance tablet but it is well suited for kids and people who need basic functions.At the end I still give 5 stars because it is well positioned as budget device and I had the coupon applied when purchased.

Review: The tablet worked for 5 days, then it wouldn’t turn on even after repeated attempts pressing the power button. I checked the power cord and adaptor, they worked fine. Finally after more repeated attempts the tablet turned on. I emailed them about the problem, they wanted me to take a video of the problem. 2 days after the first non-power event the tablet won’t turn on at all again. Stay away from this tablet.
