Activated carbon sheet reduces gaseous pollutants such as VOCs, harmful gases, chemicals and odours.

To maintain optimum performance, we recommend changing your filter about once every 6-months when used 24 hours a day. Filter fibres naturally prevent bacteria and mould growth, to ensure you’ll never put bacteria and mould back into the air. The gradient filter structure traps even the smallest particles and resists clogging to maintain maximum airflow.

Review: This is a very simple gadget, lightweight, easy to use, three fan levels. Refill filters are about twenty pounds and a breeze to fit.The outside filter easily removed for washing. you can see when it needs changing. The covers are cheap enough to buy a spare.On the highest setting it is noisy, but its a fan, so expect that, its not like an uncomfortable, high pitched whirr- lower settings are ok. i can sleep through all settings, and I am a light sleeper.The fan produces cold air, great in the summer.There is a bright light on the control- on top of the machine, which can be disturbing or comforting at night, depending what you like. I think you could easily cut a disc of something and place it on top.In my opinion, you cannot expect much more than a dust and pollen filter at this price. There is a layer of charcoal in the pleated inner filter, but it is really too thin to do much about odours or chemical smells, perfumes etc.Still, I bought another after having mine a few months.
