Review: wanted a butchers block for at least 5 years just hadnt found the right one up until now. was shocked when saw the price thought it couldnt be right for the size 70cm x 40cm x 8cm. the look is sublime and beautiful. if you oil your butchers block straight away leave for about 15 mins give a wipe then repeat another 3 times them leave for about 7 hours bfore you use . if you clean and oil your block at least every 4 months it will last you years

Review: Unlike the more expensive blocks which are from a single (or 2 pieces) of wood this is made up from 5 separate pieces glued together. The live edge, is not the nicest i have seen, but nice enough.My only slight issue is that whilst this arrived very well wrapped and padded, the internal, grease proof paper was saturated with oil, as is the board! So be very careful where you unwrap this, as it will stain carpets etc.Small matter, i do not understand why a ‘bulb’ is mentioned in the Technical description for this product, as this is clearly a typo.Overall, very pleased.
