Title: It fits but expensive bit of plastic
Review: I bought a cheaper version of this from Amazon at £11.99 but it was far too loose when fitted and so returned it. I contacted Dyson who informed me that one of theirs (!) would be £32This one was £18.991. It fitted and whereas not as positive locking as the original it nevertheless fits ok.2. So it fits but after all it’s. cheapish plastic thing made in a mould in China. I guess the seller can charge a hefty price simply because they can… I suspect the real Dyson one (probably made in China or Malaysia) would be a more quality controlled perfect fit but at £32? No thanks.Hopefully this one will last with care.At least it is a hinged model and so I didn’t need to chop off the moulded plug to fit it on.The hairdryer is about 4 years old and is used by the wife each morning. She’ll just have to be a bit more caring for this vulnerable plastic filter cover.Time will tell to see how long this one lasts.However for the HD01 she has, this does fit a whole lot better than the previous attempt at a China replacement.You can actually get these things from eBay around £5! but I suspect they will be just as bad as my previous purchase attempt. Getting them from Amazon at least I was reassured of a free return if need be.In the event it worked out ok.

Title: Doesn’t appear to engage the lock reliably
Review: Uncertain about this item. It does not seem to lock onto the white lock piece at the top of the cable entry.You can also very easily turn it passed the lock position suggesting it’s not engaging with the lock on the HD1 hairdrier.I will probably sellotape it to the handle to stop it coming off.

Title: This fits well and is more robust than the original!
Review: Not at all bad. A bit fiddly to clip together, but it does fit, looks very close and seems to be more robust that the original. The Originals are now being sold at £55. I thought there is no way I’m paying £55 for this flimsy bit of Chinese plastic. This one at just over £18 is still expensive, but a much more acceptable option. I’d definitely recommend it!
