Title: Absolutely amazing.
Review: We just cut a large number of branches off a medium-sized tree in our back garden (with a manual saw). That took several hours and an awful lot of effort. Then, I realised I’d need to cut each of those branches 8-10 times each (into manageable pieces for transport to the local dump) – so far I’d only had to cut them each the once!Enter the Bosch Keo, which I then ordered and used to clear the mountain of tree branches littering my back lawn. For branches up to a couple of inches thick, this is the perfect tool. Cuts through almost like butter. I think it’s easiest with the supplied guard in-place, as this helps to keep the blade straight and makes cutting optimal, I find. Other reviewers have discussed using this saw for much larger branches – I think that is a mistake. This saw simply isn’t designed for that. Likewise, for really small twigs (5mm or less), a pair of good seceteurs is best.Why did I choose this? Firstly, Bosch is always the highest quality. This product definitely lives up to that expectation. The second reason was that it has no mains cord. Climbing up a ladder to cut tree branches, I frankly don’t trust myself with a coord dangling behind me.In summary then, perfect for small (1/2 inch diameter or more) to medium (2 inch) diameter branches. I wish I had bought this years ago.NB I have not tried cutting anything else – e.g. plastic, metal, etc.

Title: Really easy to use, battery life short
Review: This is really easy to use. I am not very handy at all, but the blade was easy to fit, the machine works very efficiently.The battery life is short…when I use it I get under half an hour before it needs recharging, and that takes hours. Too be honest, that suits me as using a tool like this for half an hour at a time is probably a sensible option. It would be so easy to overuse it otherwise and cause damage to your wrists and hands.In short, great tool if you are happy to work in short bursts…but not great if if you have a lot you have to do in one day.

The saw can cut through small branches within a few seconds and the branch hook can easily be removed for larger branches.For reference some things I have used this for include cutting a door in half, cutting wooden ladders, Christmas tree and small apple tree branches.One thing to be aware of is it does not use the multi-use Bosch battery that comes with the Bosch drill which was disappointing. The saw uses its own built-in battery which I would estimate does not have more than 15 minutes of continuous cutting time. The blade included is very good on dry wood, but would not recommend it for damp wood as it did struggle with some thicker logs.Overall this product does what it is designed for very well, at a reasonable price point. Blades are easy to replace so should be a reliable saw you can use for garden maintenance for a long time.

Title: great tool for the garden
Review: This is without doubt one of the best things I’ve ever bought for the garden (and my husband agrees – he loves it). I had been using manual pruners but as I’ve got older I’ve found them heavy going on bigger branches so I bought this – it’s wonderful. It cuts through branches easily even those several cm thick, and the safety mechanisms make sure you don’t cut yourself. It’s very easy to use although sometimes the metal safety cover does get in the way, and one battery charge is more than enough for a couple of hours’ work. The blade is very easy to lock in and release. I bought the set of blades for cutting metal but haven’t used those yet. Highly recommend.

Title: Nice bit of kit.
Review: When you are up the top of a ladder ( and you are starting to get on a bit ) tools get very heavy very quickly. This is such a change from heavy chainsaws or working hard with a saw . I used this at the top of a ladder and cut through branches up to 4 inches . Light and easy to use , battery life around 15 – 20 mins of heavy use. So far very pleased with it .Update …After 16 months the battery seemed to suddenly lose 99% of its charge .As the product comes with 24 month warranty as standard I phoned the number on the Bosch tools site and in under 14 days I had a brand new saw . The Bosch call centre was friendly and helpful , all I had to do was box it up and print out my Amazon order email . No charges for picking up or the delivery of the new item . Plus I have a note telling me when my warranty runs out .All in all I am very impressed with their customer service .

Title: Very handy but with an annoying catch
Review: This is a great little saw and the battery is decent for the size.The branch grip is a little fiddly and needed to be bent into the right shape but it works great.The catch is the safety feature. It’s one where you have to push in a spring button so you can pull the trigger on the saw, which will lock the spring button safety in place – I understand why it’s there, but I find it quite difficult to hold in the safety button while pressing the trigger to initialise it with one hand. It should be easy to open it up and take out the springs, though.Everything else is perfect. Good weight, feels robust, and it’s quiet powerful – more than I expected from a rechargeable in this price range

Title: Well balanced and easy to use
Review: This is a great complement to your gardening kit if you have a mature garden with lots of trees and bushes. The blade that came with the cutter has worked on lots of branches in my garden up to about 50mm diam. Yes, the battery does run out after intensive use but hey ho, that’s expected from a small LiIon battery. A recharge is pretty quick. Just recommend using the Bosch or good quality blades and don’t put too much pressure on them while cutting or it will stick. Overall, I’m really pleased with this addition to my armoury of gardening tools!

Review: je me suis procuré cet appareil afin d’aider une personne âgée à couper des branches qui lui sont difficiles avec un sécateur traditionnel l’appareil est de bonne facture et la qualité Bosch est reconnu par rapport à d’autres produits similaires qui n’ont pas l’air de pouvoir durer dans le temps de plus le fait de pouvoir utiliser des batteries pour d’autres appareils Bosch fidélise évidemment le client qui a soit un souci de dépenses ou un souci d’écologie en bref très utile pour des personnes ayant des problèmes dans les mains et pour tout autre personne qui désire se faciliter la tâche.
