Title: Good charger for standard configuration
Review: This is a nice charger it is much easier to just place your headset onto a charger than having to plug in a. cable etc. However I have changed the strap on my headset to an aftermarket version with extra battery pack. Subsequently the headset is to “back” heavy it tilts back when you place it onto the charger and raises the body off the three charging pins. Therefore I have to remove my head strap before placing it only the charge. This is my fault I have altered the headset and the charger is designed for the standard configuration of the headset ie with the basic strap. That aside this is a great little charger, the headset as with the Oculus 2 only last for about 2 hours of play on the normal battery configuration so having something that you can just drop the headset onto to recharge is a great idea.it would be good if Meta also provided access to the batteries in the handsets to be able to charge them while still in the handset as opposed to having to remove them. I know they last a lot lot lot longer than the headset battery but it would be great if you could just drop them onto the cradle and wham all three items are charging.this set is proved with 4 600 mAh recanragable batteries for the handsets the charger in the centre only charges 2 batteries at a time the 4 slots provided may make you think all four can be charged but that is not the case. the two centre slots are just to store you spare batteries.the charge station is quite futuristic looking and keeps everything in one place and neat and tidy. I have similar for my PS5 with the chargers and headset all kept together and on charge.this is a good product that is very well suited to the standard configuration and will charge the quest 3 and keep it neat and tidy. Good product

Title: Compact Quest 3 Charging Dock
Review: If you spend any real time using your Quest 3 you will be aware that the battery will only last you around 2 hours before it needs charging so having a dedicated charging stand can only be a good thing. Once you’re done you just sit it on the stand and let it do its thing; no having to mess around plugging and unplugging a USB-C cable.This LYtech charging dock is a great idea, though unfortunately LYtech have not considered how your average user will equip their headset.The Good:- It is simple to assemble and use and it looks quite stylish- As well as the headset you can also charge the AA batteries for your controller- It is quite reasonably priced for something you will likely use a lotThe Less Good:- While it is nice that LYtech supplied 4 AA batteries they are only 600mAh, which is really quite a low capacity and means you will need to recharge them often. If these had been AAA batteries I would have understood it but I would rather they had not bothered with free batteries at all and spent the money elsewhere- LYtech have clearly only designed this with the default Meta strap in mind. I imagine most people who play VR a lot will have purchased a separate head strap (probably with a battery pack as well) and this is where the problem lies. With the extra weight on the back of the headset it won’t sit properly on the dock which means the pins are never depressed and subsequently the headset never gets charged. If you are using anything but the default strap you will need something to place underneath the rear of the head strap to correct this- The battery charging slots are a little misleading. If you look at the store image you might think there are 4 charging slots (they gave you 4 batteries after all), whereas it is only the outer two that are for charging. The inner 2 are just storage slots to hold some extra batteries and have no charging pins. You can see this if you look closely at the image that shows the internal chargerWhile the weight imbalance may not be directly LYtech’s problem I would rather they had supplied a small extra (instead of the relatively pointless batteries) so the dock works as intended without the consumer having to find their own solution.Even with the slight negatives above this still seems like a good device that will save you having to worry whether your headset is charged and ready to use or not. I just wish LYtech had put a little more thought into what people are actually likely to want.
