Title: So good I bought another one!
Review: Brilliant 4k POE PTZ camera, works well with my 7716 NVR, plug and play.At full 4k, the frame rate is limited to 18fps, however if you reduce the resolution you can get higher frame rates if needed.I had to knock a star off because the data rate of the encoder is limited to 10k/sec while my NVR is expecting 30k+ data rate at 4k 18fps!The result is the picture is fantastic on objects that don’t move, but anything that does, especially at high speed, is likely to result in a softer picture as the camera can’t push the 30k/sec needed for sharp 4k with fast motion.I use mine for watching the bird feeders, and the little birds move so fast it can sometimes cause the picture to break up a little when there is too much movement, however using it as a CCTV camera covering a wide area such as the back garden, the picture is just stunning with no braking up at all.The lens is super clear even in very low light, and the optical zoom is razor sharp at max zoom.The IR night vision is the clearest I have ever seen, the noise reduction is amazing.The PTZ works as expected however presets don’t always land in exactly the same spot every time, it’s really close, but not ‘exactly’ the same spot.It has auto focus which works really well, but it can struggle to keep focused sometimes when changing between presets with a large zoom difference so you may occasionally have to use the focus buttons.I will try to update this review as I work my way through the various event settings, but so far it works very well with Hikvision NVR, highly recommended camera if you understand it’s data rate limitations, I doubt you will get a picture quality as good as this at this price point.Ships from china so it will take a week or two, but it’s totally worth the wait!!
