Title: Fairly inexpensive, decent tool for sanding large areas
Review: Bought to sand a ceiling i had to patch up after removing paper revealed some horrors. Did the job well. Only gripe was the universal joint from pole to head can be a bit tricky sometimes – tipping the sanding pad and gouging the plasterwork with the edge of the head. Maybe more finess was needed ? I don’t know. Good tool to have for ceilings and walls though. Just add elbow grease.

Review: A few weeks ago i had to do some sanding and i used a bog standard sanding pad, but it just wasn’t good enough, the sand paper kept slipping off the pad and was getting really annoying, so i decided to get one of these bad boys, i was given one of those long rolls of sandpaper a little while ago (rather than the regular squares of sandpaper) and i found they are absolutely perfect for use with this sanding tool.Its really easy and self explanatory to set up and away you go in seconds, no sand paper slippage, no cut up fingers or knuckles, just pure sanding bliss, sometimes you just can’t trust a mechanical sander and you have to go manual and if i had a choice i’d choose this one every time.As your hand is miles away from the surface you won’t be getting scuffed up knuckles anymore, plus the handle is really comfortable to use, but this tool isn’t suited to close quarters sanding, it’s really for wide open spaces where you need accurate and careful sanding done. It seems tough and should last a long time. 100% pleased with my purchase.

Title: Brilliant simple tool, good quality
Review: Good quality should last for years. Great for prepping walls,ceilings, skirting boards ect ready for paint when using a good quality sandpaper. Plus saves hours of time when you don’t have to be up and down ladders and bending down . Also overlapping the sandpaper on one side makes it great for corners and around door frames edges.Hope my opinion helps but this is a cracking must have tool to have when you need it.

Title: Great for freshly plastered walls before mist coat
Review: I’ve been using this in conjunction with the Marshalltown 20 Hand Sander and find it excellent. Just like a paint roller you can cover a room in no time between. I used it on freshly plastered walls and ceilings and found it great. No need to purchase sandpaper specific to this but I do find manual tear sandpaper better as it gives a straight tear. You’ll see threads on the sandpaper if looking for it. The pole reaches 1.25m when extended while being just over 70cm retracted. Spear & Jackson make quality products and this is one of them.You’ll need to practice to master it but it doesn’t take long. Plenty of people on YouTube with demos too which are very useful. The paper size needed is 82mm x 260m.

Review: Bought this on the former 5 star review…..Absolutely rightGood working tool, can recommend it is easy to useI am working on floor boards with fine sand paper, makes life easier….wood dust under control.The pole sander has a comfortable handle which unscrews for storage………But the packaging…well …very wasteful amount of cardboard.
