Review: Arrived quickly. 20 in pack. Somewhat strong spring gives it useful clamping force. The red bits are rubber not just painted on. I’ve bought plastic clips before but they broke so i got these because they will last.The use i intended this for is not suitable but these are otherwise good quality clips for the price. They won’t securely grip at their maximum opening size.Basically, if you want to grip something 2cm wide then choose the size up from this clamp. If you need stronger grip, are gripping a smooth surface or want to make certain that this clamp fits your purpose then choose the next size up clamp if what you need to grip is over 1.5cm. Price, quality and quantity are good and rate 5 stars. Any sort of clamp with this design would have the same problem but this design has rubber red parts whereas others might just be paint so it is better at gripping.The clamps open wide at max 21mm and fit the pole i wanted to use them on but they pop off and fly off. The pole is smooth and this makes it harder for the clamps to grip onto it. Possibly putting a cloth or something around where it grips might help it stay on instead of fly off. They fly off with some force (which is because of the strong spring) so be careful.(The problem is physics. Imagine you pick up a pencil between a finger and thumb. Your hand makes a C shape. This exerts force and pressure on either side of the pencil. See the clip gripping an AA battery in the photo. The two metal pieces are almost parallel and they’re clamping and gripping the battery well because the force is pushing on either side of the battery. When the two metal pieces are parallel the force is horizontal on either side of whatever is being gripped by the clamps. If I used it on an AAA battery or something smaller then it would be an even stronger gripping force because not only would the force be pushing in sideways (horizontally) but the metal pieces would be angled inwards so they add an extra bit of force vertically and inwards. It’s sort of like how you might grip a mug with forces surrounding the mug. Now look at the other photo of the clamp opened to maximum. With the AAA battery the forces are horizontal and vertically inwards but it is the opposite vertical force to when the clamp is at its maximum opening distance and this pushes the clip away from whatever it is gripping. This is why it pops off at maximum opening distance. Try using one hand to pick up a saucepan from the side (like you would use one hand to grip a mug) and your hand won’t be able to clasp it strongly. Obviously a saucepan is heavier than a mug but if they were of equal weight then it would be easy to grip the mug and lift it up but hard or impossible to lift up the saucepan with one hand used like you would grip a mug.)

Review: These are great little clamps they have a fair grip should you need small clamps to grip and work your doing but don’t want marks left on your work piece especially if the piece your working needs leaving for a few hours for glue to set etc. please note these are small clamps about the size as clothes pegs.
