Title: Does the job – brilliantly
Review: I hate complicated gadgets and what I like about this is it’s simple – nothing electrical or fiddly that can get broken within a year – it seems pretty sturdy and I’m hoping will last for years, can take camping and I’ve used at home on electric and gas hobs – does lovely toasties really quickly too….highly recommend vs an electric one as it’s so easy to clean, no electrics obvs so you can get to all the parts and much easier to store away than a busy electric item….I’m sold!

Title: Perfect toast and more!
Review: You can get a perfectly griilled sandwich using this maker. Apart from that, you can even cook vegetables and other things like gyoza or sliced beef. It retains the juice inside the meat/toast/vegetables and give you a perfect crunch on the outside.

Title: Little scuffed, but so good I don’t care
Review: After seeing a few reviews about the handles falling off, I was a little skeptical when ordering this, but it’s such a neat lil device that I just had to give it a go.I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy with a kitchen ‘gadget’ before. I can’t stop making toasted sammiches.This thing is so easy to use and toasts perfectly evenly on both sides. If you pop it on the hob and heat it whilst prepping the sandwich, it takes no time at all to cook it once it’s in there. The handles, fortunately, seem sturdy enough on mine so far, after many uses in its first week, and it’s been really easy to clean, even when cheese has melted all over it.The oooonly downside is that I got the black one, and right out of the box, it was already looking a little scuffed in places with the silver metal showing through here and there, but for the price I’m not too worried about that.

Title: paint comes off at high heat
Review: the paint coating is not very solid – i used it on a ceramic hob and left the heat on full for a few minutes (probably my mistake – but i don’t recall there being any instructions). it left some residues of paint on the actual hob surface, which makes me nervous about using it for actual food.

Title: Better than expected, great design.
Review: I bought this for using on my wood burning stove and it worked brilliantly. ( To protect your woodburner surface, Place a baking tray on IT to avoid fat splashes sticking to it.)The Product was a much better design than I had anticipated from some of the reviews I had read regarding it coming apart. In fact, the hinge design is brilliant as it is a single piece so it can’t break you just need to know how to open and close it backwards in order to disconnect the hinge. People that have written negative reviews regarding this simply haven’t worked out how to open it backwards to line up the hinges to close it again. It’s a bit like a puzzle, but once you figure that out it’s a much better design than a toaster made with separate parts. This design is pretty much bombproof , I also love the coating as it’s much healthier and better than the black Teflon coating which will eventually flake and break off into your food. No problem with this design highly recommend – I imagine it is good for campung to and very easy to clean.

Title: Very good sandwich-toaster
Review: I wasn’t optimistic about this but it’s excellent. So much better than the rubbish electric one I bought and immediately gave to a charity shop.Easy to use, and easy to take apart and clean. Neat and small. Works perfectly. Gives nice brown stripes. Doesn’t crimp the edges but is thick enough to cope with lots of filling. I use GF bread which is quite small and it’s perfect for that. Hands down better than the electric versions

Title: Great Little Gadget But ……
Review: Great little gadget for Toasties, no waiting for huge stupid electric heating plates to warm up, however don’t try and use as a frying pan etc, the non stick coating is wafer thin and wont stand up to the riggers of frying. The black painted surface is so thin simply sitting it on top of the stove will scratch it to bits, even just cleaning it with a PLASTIC NON SCRATCH PAD has revealed the metal underneath (best advice – go for the silver option) would I buy another – Hmm yes but would probably go for a better quality one instead.

Review: I thought I would just make grilled cheese sandwiches with it but it turned out to be more than that. I like to make French toast with it. Then I found out I could press a chashu bao (Chinese steamed barbecue bun). You can warm it up on each side so it’s crispy on the outside and warm and moist on the inside. It’s become my favorite morning breakfast. If you have a Trader Joe’s in the neighborhood you can pick up some frozen buns there and try it. Absolutely yummy.

Review: I was given one of these toasted sandwich makers for my birthday. We tried it one day using some leftover grilled salmon and cheese between slices of homemade bread and it was an instant winner! Plus it’s easy to clean up. Probably works best on a gas range. We like it so much that we’ve since ordered two more to give as gifts.
