Title: We use this for scanning bar codes on wrist bands to let people in and out of venues, really easy.
Review: We’ve been using this scanner for managing entry at various venues by scanning barcodes on wristbands, and it has made the process incredibly smooth and efficient. It’s particularly useful in busy environments where quick and accurate scanning is essential.The scanner’s ability to read barcodes from any angle has really sped up the entry process, ensuring that guests don’t have to fumble around trying to align their wristbands perfectly. Title: Working, was a bit tricky to set up though
Review: I finally managed to get this working, after a couple of attempts. It was a little bit tricky at the beginning, however, I eventually found a video on YouTube showing some of the different methods of setting out. For the same product under a different name. Overall, it does the job as intended, and it is working correctly now. Was just a little bit annoying that it took so long to set up. I thought this would be somewhat plug and play.But overall, once you’ve got that out the way, it is set up and working and doing its job efficiently. So overall happy to recommend, just make sure you spend a little bit of time and dedicate some time for this set up phase.

Title: A Barcode, QR scanner with huge ability and potential
Review: Review of Tera Barcode Scanner Hands-free Omnidirectional: Pro Version Desktop 1D 2D QR USB.This obtained purely for personal use as I am no longer in need of a Barcode scanner for professional use, in fact in my early business years Barcodes were not even invented, first introduced to UK in 1979 and to supermarkets in 1980 I believe.However today more or less every saleable object is Barcoded and now QR codes are used by everyone, it seems sense to learn the various types, meanings and use in business.I must admit the Tera Barcode scanner obtained Model 9800 somewhat large compared to hand-held models more frequently seen in the retail market place but as my use mainly for the desktop and spreadsheets this deemed suitable.The scanner is large and brightly coloured, does have a manual button but is also very automated, in fact surprisingly so even to using Barcodes to alter the settings, the user manual provided very comprehensive although can be mind boggling to the uninitiated.This Model 9800 can be set to read a huge list of varying types of Barcodes and QR codes, it is extremely fast and reads from most angles and speeds of swipe, it does have good distance of read but optimum probably 100 to 150mm, it can be left turned on or put in sleep mode for intermittent use only waking up when a Barcode is presented to the screen, it does not have a battery so needs to be powered by a USB Type “A” port continuously, all data also transferred by USB.I find this Barcode scanner fascinating in it’s operation, it is plug and play entering codes instantly into most spreadsheet programs, it will take time to to learn the full use of this scanner as not just reading a huge array of different Barcode types but also how the information it transfers can be used in different scenarios and programs, a real challenge but one I am really looking forward too.I have used small hand-held Barcode scanners before but this in a different league, definitely a Pro model with great potential.
