We recommend to usecarpenter screws for timber to timber connections. The screws are equivalent to construction nails and do not require the material to be pre-drilled. They are available in many sizes, with length up to 400mm.
Deep TORX pocket enables better transfer of torque and prevents bit from sliding off.

Features:
1. Thread from the very beginning of the screw point – facilitates firm fixing point and prevents the point from sliding off.
2. Drilling point – enables slight screwing in without pre- drilling.
3. Cutting corrugations – break wood chips produced in screwing in and prevent wood from splitting.
4. Long mill – broadens a hole significantly reducing torque needed for screwing in.
5. Cutting ribs at bottom side of the screa head – facilitate sinking the screw head and levelling it with the material surface.

Title: The perfect screw ?
Review: They’re certainly the closest thing so far to perfect screws, not one single bad screw in the box, a deep torx socket that’s almost (but not quite) impossible to make cam out, the whole box driven straight in and not a single split and they do a great job of pulling two pieces of wood together.Now if only they were cheap 🙂
