Title: Works well, operated under load.
Review: Bought this because I was running a washer and dryer, plus a freezer from one supply. Previous extension lead had melted the fuse when all appliances were drawing maximum current. A few months in and this perfect storm presented itself once again, but on this occasion, this extension lead operated its overload protection. After a quick reset and the realisation that this issue needed addressing, I found an alternative supply for the dryer. Peace of mind for a reliable piece of kit at a modest price. The previous extension lead had been in place for years, almost forgotten, I was shocked to see what looked like melted insulation on the plug wires, before the fuse finally gave way. Our house is protected by RCBs but they don’t operate with gradual current increase. Conventional extension leads are fine for short term use I guess, because you are aware of the application, but for long term use, peace of mind is worth a few quid.
