Uses HA6 is unaffected by UV, ozone, salt water immersion and extremes of temperature and is non-slumping in paste form. HA6 contains no fungicides or oils which may leach into water and is therefore recommended for bonding, bedding and sealing glass in aquarium construction. HA6 is also recommended for the manufacture of in-situ gaskets and seals for pumps and pipework to prevent water ingression and as a dust and weatherproofing seal for cabinets in dirty environments or external applications. It is ideal for use on: glass; ceramics; anodised aluminium; primed metals and timber and many plastics. Preparation Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, oil or any other contaminants that may hinder adhesion. Prime porous surfaces and metals other than anodised aluminium or stainless steel for optimum adhesion. Application Apply using a standard sealant gun with the nozzle cut at an angle of 45°, and to an opening slightly larger than the joint to be sealed. For sealing and bedding apply in the normal fashion and tool to a smooth finish one or two minutes after gunning. As an adhesive bring the two surfaces together before skinning commences and do not stress the joint before the silicone has developed strength. As a gasket apply to one surface and if the joint is to be broken allow a strong skin to develop before compressing for permanent gaskets the joint can be sealed immediately. Clean away any excess with white spirit. When using in aquarium assembly please refer to separate sheet for instructions which can be supplied upon request. Title: Also good for boats
Review: I wanted to seal a couple of areas that were letting in water. I never had a lot of luck with marine sealants as they always breakdown after a while and go powdery. So I thought I would give this aquarium sealant a go. If it works in seawater it must be good.Well this stuff is amazing. No more leaks (which is always good on a boat) and easy to apply. The best bit it’s flexible and quarter of the price.

Title: Bought for outdoor tank
Review: I bought this for a 10ft outdoor tank that my aquatic turtle lives in. The tank had started leaking and I was hoping this would help seal the small leak in one corner. I found it very difficult to use but I think all marine sealants are. After persevering I filled the gap after lining a bit stretch of where the glass panels meet. It’s probably my lack of skills, but the repair only lasted a few weeks. I then tried a different marine sealant which has lasted for over three months now. I wouldn’t buy this again for my outdoor tank.

Title: Marine Quality Sealant
Review: I used this product primarily for the fact it does not have any bacteria, mould resisting properties included in its composition. The reason being I required a product without those qualities for a sump I had put together for a marine fish tank. Some silicon sealants cure too slowly this one however did not, from application to curing took initially about 5 minutes. At this point the Silicon held the glass panels in place. I also noticed that there was no bubbles forming in the silicon, and the silicon was clear in colour without any yellow tinge.I have since tested the silicon for its ability to hold and seal when filling my sump up with water 48 hours later and can confirm that it holds steadfast and does not leak. I would recommend this product to anyone planning on carrying out work involving an aquarium or pond.
