Review: This stick seems slower on copying files than my other sticks, but the copy is faultless and reliable. Playback copes with hd video, so it’s performance is fine by me.

Title: Nice, sturdy flash drive
Review: This is a 256GB USB flash drive, which claims read speeds of up to 130 MB/s, and write speeds of up to 80 MB/s.The usable space on the drive I got was 234GB, and using CrystalDiskMark I got read speeds of 153 MB/s and write speeds of 85 MB/s – slightly better than expected!The drive has both USB-A and USB-C connectors, which I appreciate. USB-C is slowly taking over, but I still have plenty USB-A ports on my devices for now.The drive chassis is made from some kind of metal – no idea which kind, but it both looks and feels very sturdy. However, after just a few insertions, I’ve noticed the USB-A side is gettin scratched around the connector. Will need to wait and see if it *really* lasts.

Title: Great Fast Rugged USB Stick
Review: The package is small, and there isn’t much info with it – just the writing on the packet.However, there is a lot more information on the Amazon listing page to tell about its features & specs.When plugged in, it is noted as being formatted as exFAT, and the capacity is listed as 234GB.The read and write speeds to the disk are quite fast if the files are large & few – About 145MB/sec reading, and 90MB/sec writing. Very respectable.The read speed for lots of smaller files (such as photos) is still pretty fast – up to 85MB/sec.However, when writing lots of smaller files to the stick, it is significantly slower – at roughly 10MB/sec.PS: The slow writing speed is quite common in USB sticks – no different to most of the other sticks I have tested in the past.The USB stick is said to be rugged, being waterproof, dustproof, shockproof & heat resistant.I have done tests of multiple waterproof USB sticks in the past, and have never found them to malfunction after being dunked in water. If they say they are waterproof, you can pretty much assume they really are !!I’m not in the mood to do the same water dunking tests today, but I may do them soon.I like how you can use both the USB A side on a laptop, and the USB C side on a phone or tablet.It allows you to transfer files between these two devices, while on the go.Apart from the slow write performance with multiple files, it is pretty much the ideal device.The price is quite reasonable for a 256GB drive. Recommended.

Review: Not so Flash and not the fastest on the block by a long stretch !!!What you get1 x KOOTION 256 GB USB C Flash DriveMaterial qualityThe materials used on the KOOTION 256 GB USB C Flash Drive were very good, and instead of the housing being made from the usual breakable plastic, the housing in this was made from Aluminium.The read and write speeds that I was getting on the KOOTION 256 GB USB C Flash Drive really did vary depending on what machine it was being used on, but in all, the KOOTION 256 GB USB C Flash Drive was quite slow.The read and write speeds that I had with the KOOTION 256 GB USB C Flash Drive was a write speed of 27MBs which is somewhat standard for writing speeds but its read was only 34MBs which to me was not that great at all if I’m honest, but to be fair it still got the job done, and it did give me time to make a brew (or two)My one other concern was that the KOOTION Flash Drive did get very very hot, so hot in fact that I had a shock when I went to eject it from the USB slot, as I just wasn’t expecting it to be that hot as none of my other flash drives got this hot ever and not even come close to this sort of heat, but saying that the other flash drives casing/housing were made from plastic, so maybe that helped.All in all, would I recommend the KOOTION 256 GB USB C Flash Drive ???….. in all honestly I would have to say, only if you plan on using this flash drive as a last resort, and as already said, it does does its job, it’s just not the fastest kid on the block by a long stretchSo it is 3 out of 5 stars from me

Title: Decent little drive!
Review: Just to get this out of the way, when I plug this drive into my PC, its capacity shows as only being 234GB, not 256GB. It’s because computers use binary, as opposed to decimal, so there will always seem like a discrepancy but it’s only because of the way the maths works. Happily, when converting back to decimal, it’s easy to see that this drive does more or less have the stated capacity.Other positives in its favour are that the build quality is excellent. The metal body is solid and sturdy, and short of being crushed, will likely withstand any abuse I could subject it to on a day-to-day basis. It gets very faintly warm when working but nothing approaching hot.In terms of data transfer, I’ve briefly seen speeds of 121MB/S but on average it hovers around the 45-60MB/S mark, which is pretty much what’s advertised. Overall, I’m very happy with this drive, especially as at the time of this review, it only costs £22.99, which I feel is a fair price.

Title: Tiny and useful
Review: This is a double sided memory stick that will work in full size USB ports as well as USB-C ports. This makes it particularly useful for moving files between a phone or tablet and a PC.Plug it in and it’s instantly recognised by my Android phone, and the same again with my PC. Read/write speeds seem perfectly adequate and while I don’t have the nous to be able to give a figure to these things I’m certainly not sitting there wondering why a file transfer is taking so long. Storage capacity is as stated.Build quality is fine – memory sticks my there nature can take a lot of abuse, and this one feels well made with a metal casing. It should easily shrug off being thrown in a bag and knocked about.Great memory stick, and the double sided feature makes it tremendously useful.

Review: Der Speicherstick funktioniert und das auch Recht schnell an einem Honor Magic 5 pro. Er rastet auch sehr sicher in die USB 3 Buchse ein. Er wird aber sehr heiß. Bei einer grösseren Dateisicherung habe ich dann abgebrochen. Ich weiss nicht ob diese starke Erwärmung i.O. ist.
