Title: Value For Money Laptop – Great All Rounder
Review: I bought this for my partner to replace an old Lenovo which was extremely slow. Very simple & easy to set up & it’s much faster than the previous, it’s for general use, browsing, using office products and it’s great, it’s compact & slim, so uses less space on the desk, lightweight so it’a comfortable for using on your lap. The inbuilt mouse can be tricky, but bought another, screen size/picture quality is great, very clear. Connects & keeps the connection to our wifi, it’s a super laptop for the price & has been reliable so far (bought aprox 3 months ago), no issues whatsoever, would recommend to anyone looking for a quick reliable, lightweight affordable laptop.

Title: Excellent Value for the Price
Review: This laptop was bought as a present for my partner in September of 2019 prior to her taking it to new Zealand for a prolonged (over winter) stay. This review is given after 6 months of ownership and is based primarily upon her comments and observations, with some small use of the machine by me to assess her feedback.Pros: A light weight and attractive laptop that starts very quickly and has an excellent screen. It has an excellent battery life and gives ample warning of going into ‘battery saver mode’ when used with out being plugged into the mains electricity. It gives clear indication of an action in progress when waiting for programmes or web pages to load. Considered very good value for money with the full knowledge of in built memory storage.Cons: As mentioned by other reviewers, the delete key is located below the ‘back’ button and is very easy to ‘catch’, although usage and experience has tended to reduce this problem. Sound volume is quite low and ear phones were needed when watching streamed programmes. A couple of the keys seemed to be very sensitive and produced repeated letters when typing (particularly the ‘o’ and ‘s’ keys. Quite firm pressure was often needed to ‘left click’.Overall: Our opinion is that the pros far outweigh the cons and that the laptop was an excellent purchase. Although we have deducted a ‘star’ for the issues mentioned, we would have made this half a star if the option was available. In conclusion, would we recommend to others, yes, would we buy again, yes.

Title: Excellent Laptop for the price
Review: Bought this laptop as a present for the wife. She only needs basic functions like document writing and browsing the Internet and this laptop met those requirements with ease. It has a better HD screen than I had expected although the colour was perhaps not as crisp as the more expensive laptops. It comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Home edition and 64Gb of SSD storage which is easily enough to hold windows and the MS office 365 suite with about 29Gb left over. The storage can be expanded with either a micro SD card that slots easily in the side or a 2.5″ hard drive (max 1TB) which fits snuggly inside the laptop case. The touchpad is nice and comfortable to use and response times very acceptable when running office programs etc. The only downer on this laptop is the sound. If that’s not important to you then no problems but if you want a good sound this is not the laptop for you. You cannot really expect Hi-Fi at this price but what it gives is very tinny and slightly distorted with a light background noise. All in all a nice laptop for the price.

Title: Out of date 2016 system, Most of the description is misleading and support are no help.
Review: Where to start…1st the description “mistakes”I’ve linked their description at this time – Maybe they will try to cover this shady description when they read this review?They Claim:-“download and upload speeds are atleast 2x faster than traditional laptops”This is a completely wrong – the slowest part of the internet is not the home WiFi, but the internet service. Also, I think they are referring to it being compatible with 5ghz WiFi – that’s the frequency of the transmission not the speed. Simply put, 2.4ghz penetrates walls better but 5ghz has greater range in an open area, so you get more choice in which WiFi to use. This has no bearing on your internet speed. 5ghz has been the standard since 2015, so if your laptop is newer than this, it will have the same speed WiFi.They Claim”Intel Cherrytrail Quadcore Processor is quick enough to launch your Windows programs with no lag whatsoever and play your favorite games in full speed”This processor is designed for tablets and notebooks from the start of 2016. It does not play any games in the UK top 10. Lag is a measurement of delay caused by a network, not loading programs – they seem to be using slang that gamers use to try and add some credibility to their system that it does not have.They Claim32GB of on-board eMMC storage with the option to expand the memory up to 256GB with a Micro SD card (tf-card) or Insert a HDD (upto 1TB) and increase the internal storage immediately.The 32GB of storage cannot be expanded. You can add a 2nd drive but you need to use the 32GB as a boot drive. More on this further into my review, as this is the thing that cripples the system.So, my 3rd point as to why this is only worth 1 star is the fact that the primary HDD is so small, you cannot download updates for Windows 10 as there is not enough space for the downloads, and the version installed is 3 major updates old (about 18 months out of date) – it is from before the “Spectre” and “Meltdown” vulnerabilities were patched out (google this if you want to see how vulnerable this system is to cyber attacks). To try and resolve this I installed a newer version of Windows 10 using a group license from my work. This did not work as the camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, Graphics and Chipset are not supported by Windows 10 by default, as they need drivers from the manufacturer – and no WiFi = no internet to download them. This would only be inconvenient if the drivers were on their website like most manufacturers – there support section of the website has 0 posts! (image of their 0 post support added) After 5 messages to and fro with their “support” they would only give me the install files for the default out of date version of Windows 10 that comes with the system, giving the 2 options of not working correctly, or out of date and potentially vulnerable to attacks.I purchased this as although I knew the majority of the problems / “alternative facts” of the description, I had hoped I could add a 2.5″ hard drive and boot from that, where I would have plenty of space to do the updates. The system is locked down to only boot from the small eMMC Storage Drive (This drive, although a form of solid state is slower than many traditional hard drives)If they linked the drivers on their web page, they would probably redeem a star or 2, but so far, this system is not worth the money unless you DON’T want internet and only want it for a little light office work, and you are competent enough to put the office program on your system with no CD / DVD drive or Internet.The above issues are on top of the expected low quality of a budget laptopThe sound is very poor – I feel they have encased the speakers in the plastic moldings – put some speakers in a sealed Tupperware lunch box and you get the idea of how poor this sounds.The plastic used feels thin and flimsy.The poor structural design doesn’t give me much hope for this lasting very long at all.

Review: Great laptop for basic tasks. Lightweight, easy to use, and a beautiful display. Touch pad took some getting used to, but does the job no problem. Great for email and browsing on the go. I installed and run office 365 with no issues. Allows me to do the things I need to do on the go. Videos are great quality but speakers are a bit weak. No problem though, I just use headphones. A great buy for a 14 inch Windows 10 laptop. I believe the negative reviews are from people demanding way too much from a computer in this price range. If your intent is web browsing, videos, email, and some spreadsheets or such it’s perfect! Exactly what I needed at a great price! If you’re on the fence about this one, well don’t be.

Review: This is a wonderful, small computer. I can take it everywhere. It is fast, easy to setup and use and comes with all the basics. The only thing I am just a little disappointed in is that it doesn’t come with a touch screen. That aside, it’s everything I could ask for in a small laptop.I have already set it up with a usb keyboard and mouse so I can use it like a desktop when I’m at home. I was even able to easily setup my 20 year old laser printer on it. It took me more time to figure out what Windows 10 wanted than to actually setup the printer.The only problem I seem to run into is that I use a keypad on my usb keyboard and I forget to shut it off when I move the laptop. I found the function+F10 a bit unwieldy to use to turn the numb lock on and off (prefer to do it on my other keyboard, but sometimes forget) and don’t normally use the alternate keypad device on the computer keyboard as I have always found them somewhat difficult to use.Overall, a GREAT product!
