a. Temperature > 80.6°F: Humidity Auto-setting is 50%

b. 68°F < Temperature < 80.6°F : Humidity Auto-setting is 55%

c. 41°F < Temperature < 68°F : Humidity Auto-setting is 60%

Why can’t this dehumidifier reduce humidity ?

1. Power off for 2 minutes before restarting.

2. Ensure machine humidity is set 5% lower than environment (display when first on)

3. If ambient temperature < 41 ℉(5°C), no dehumidification, fan only.

Hot air comes out from the back of this unit. Is it supposed to do that?

It is normal for the dehumidifier to be blowing out hot air. The heat is generated by the compressor.

Does it have an air filter? If so is it easy to find and wash?

Yes, You can get it off from the back after you pull out the water tank, and wash the air filter with running water, or exchange another one.
